And if you have the guts to be with us here, check out this article and see if you have something to share with us. ..
Let’s all welcome, Jade of MommaWannabe and a lot more other blogs. Don’t worry we will make a run down of all those blogs, in case you wanna stalk this pretty chic from Singapore.
Hello Jade and we are so honored that instead writing tons of paid post, you chose to be with us today..
Jade: Oh, it’s nothing.. It is my pleasure to be a guest blogger on this prestigious show.
Host: I am pretty sure that pehpot already told you about our topic today. As far as I know, you are one of her best IM buddy and her kumare too. I guess I wouldn’t do much talking today haha. So please share with us some of the Christmas traditions that you can remember
Jade: You know, I love Christmas, it’s actually my favorite time of the year. I feel like a kid again during this month.
Our family Christmas tradition was really fun. The kids hang Christmas socks and Santa would put something on it. My grandma is the Santa, she would put candies and chocolates in the little children socks. When I got older, I helped her dividing the candies into the socks and of course I would keep some extras for myself.
My grandma is also the cook.. she would be cooking food like menudo, karekare, embutido etc the whole day on the 24th of December for our Noche Bueana. My favorite in this dinner is actually not the food but the hot chocolate my Nanay (grandma) makes. After we have our dinner, we would exchange gifts. It’s been a really long time since we all spent Christmas together and I miss that.
Host: Oh I suddenly miss the coll breeze of Christmas and enjoying every moment of it with a hot choco.. is Christmas traditions in the countries you stayed different from the one we have here?
Jade: It has been a long time since I last spend a Filipino Christmas and it was really different from what I experienced in Europe. The Christmas there was really simple. We would just have a dinner on Christmas eve.
Host: I can’t imagine Christmas without gift giving and kids playing around and without fire crackers. Since you experience different kinds of Christmas celebration, what kind of Christmas tradition will you practice when you already have kids?
Jade: When we have children, we will surely continue the Christmas traditions that we used to do in our country because for me it’s the most memorable moments in my childhood.
Host: Indeed Filipino Christmas have the most happiest and meaningful Christmas celebration. We have the parties, the spirit and Christmas foods to boast of. speaking of food, I am sure you are familiar with Bibingka (rice cake) and putobumbong.
Jade: I love Bibingka alot. I could probably eat 3 or more of these yummy cake in a day. It so good I would love to learn to do this myself soon.
Host: Specially if it has salted egg on it. We used to buy bibingka after we attend the simbang gabi. Speaking of that, they say that if you can complete the simbang gabi, your wish will be granted, do you believe in that?
Jade: I did try to attend the mass or simbang gabi faithfully when I was young, and wished to get a big bicycle of my own. I never got it so after that I kinda didn’t believe anymore.
Host: Ahaha, but it was really fun attending simbang gabi right? If you have one wish this Christmas, what would it be?
Jade: I always love the good cheer that you have in the air during Christmas season and of course seeing my family all together, so if I have a wish for this Christmas, that would be t spend it with my family.
Host: Nothing beats Christmas with the family.. and nothing beats our blogging show, BLOGGING TODAY.. thank you so much Jade for being with us here.. and guys, if you want to know more about Jade, check out her blogs:
