Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review

Buffet breakfast in Tagaytay? Why not!?! Specially if is my birthday weekend. And while our initial plan was Taal Vista breakfast buffet, we end up having breakfast at Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review

Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review

Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review

Balay Dako Breakfast Buffet is only open on weekends and Holidays, hence the big volume of guests. Balay Dako breakfast buffet rates are as follows:

  • Breakfast buffet rate for aduls- 550 PhP
  • Breakfast buffet rate for children below 4ft- 375
  • Toddlers are free (how old is toddler?)

Balay Dako

The wait may take some time.. specially if you went there late. We arrived around 8:30 and got our table by 10:30 (or close to that). We waited for 2 hours! But the food is worth the wait (but for a pregnant woman, it’s not! My sugar went sooo low and then went up as soon as I started eating.. hilong hilo ako after eating)

Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review

Basic Pinoy breakfast: Dried fish, daing na bangus, tocino, longanisa, bacon and corned beef. Skip the dried fish and daing na bangus and go straight to tocino and corned beef. Longanisa is on the sweet side, bacon is a bit salty. Indulge on the atsara… sobrang saraaap!

Never got to try any of these… busog na ako sa daing eh! I really wish I had palitao and suman!

Balay Dako Breakfast Buffet Puto Bumbong at Balot

Balay Dako’s balot is good! Maliit lang ang kiti eh.. never got to try the puto bumbong (now I have more than enough reasons to go back! bukas na pleaaase!)

[tweetthis]Puto & #balot for #breakfast? Why not! Visit #BalayDako #Tagaytay & have a taste of Pinoy Breakfast![/tweetthis]

Balay Dako breads

Bread with monggo filling is really good! Uh well, even the pandesal is good! And pair it with kesong puti or Antonio’s jams:

Balay Dako Jams

There’s a fried station and egg omelet station (hindi ko nakuhanan ng picture) and there’s a condiment station! Sawsawang pinoy for the win!! Sili, bawang, sibuyas, suka, name it, andun dun! Winner ito for my Balay Dako Tagaytay Breakfast Buffet Review. Sawsawan talaga ang nagdala eh!

Meron din station for drinks, their dalanghita juice is the bomb! Water are infused, for coffee, you have to ask for it but it’s included on the buffet rate.

Tips when planning to have a breakfast at Balay Dako:

  • The restaurant opens at 7 AM every weekends and holidays and guests usually arrives earlier. If you can, be there by 6!
  • As you walk in, go straight to the reception to have your name listed.
  • As you wait, take photos of the surrounding and the food upstairs (breakfast buffet is upstairs)
  • Also while waiting, check out Balay Dako Deli offerings:

Balay Dako Deli

You can buy Jams here, gourmet fish and breads!

Balay Dako Breakfast BUffet

Balay Dako Antonios Jam

I want to try Mango Hazelnut jam.. alam nyo naman I love anything with hazelnut! Kaso there was none from the buffet breakfast. Antonio’s jam price range is 200-300 PhP.

Balay Dako Veggies

Balay Dako is the newest restaurant from Antonio’s Group. If it is from Antonios, it’s good! And like Breakfast by Antonio’s they also sell fresh organic veggies!

Balay Dako

They’re really serious with Mongo roll! Ang sarap sarap promise!

Although Balay Dako breakfast buffet only opens on weekends and holidays, the restaurant is open everyday from 11 AM onwards.

Some of the food from Balay Dako Restaurant:

Some of their seafood offerings includes Camaron Rebosado, Escabecheng Pampano, Sinigang na Hipon, Ginataang Sugpo, Tortang Alimasag and a lot more. Balay Dako Restaurant also offers Set meals ranging from 5200 PhP to 6600 Php.

Sati’s tummy is very happy!

I’ll definitely go back at Balay Dako for their breakfast buffet! Sulit!

Balay Dako lcoation: near the old The Grill by Antonio’s, RSM Lutong Bahay and Leslie’s. It is in front of 7-eleven. That’s how we discovered it actually. Husband bought something from 7-11 and saw Balay Dako.

Will you try their buffet breakfast?  Or have you been to Balay Dako? What’s your favorite dish?

OMG 2 hours waiting! Their sign means that’s how popular they are to foodies. Would love to try, pero 2 hours waiting is hard with 3 hyperactive little boys. The jams look interesting. I love jams.

I love the interiors, everything looks so vintage and polished! I haven’t been to any Antonio’s food group so I can’t say if I’ll like it. The kesong puti and pandesal sounds like a good combo. I haven’t tried! Thanks for the tip!
