Meaning of My Kid’s Name

I know after my name post, you will be asking what I named my kids?

When we first learned that we will be having a baby boy, we decided to name him Mikhail.. ask hubby why but is a very personal choice for him. For his second name I thought that Indian names is so cool and named him Mahat. Mikhail if you are not familiar is a Russian name which means God liked.. not like God but like by God.. Mahat on the other hand is a complicated Indian name. Some of research points me to this name being of a God or some a stage to obtain Nirvana. What ever it is, we just like the sound of the two.. We did not expect Mico, and so looking for a perfect name for him was hard. We decided to name him just like his older brother, name that starts with MM and Russian name for the first name and Indian name for the second. It was really hard looking for another name, but in the end was lucky to find a name that would sound really good. We named him Marco for his first name, a Russian variation of Mark. For his second name, we named him Mahadev, an Indian name which means god of all gods..

Sofia Ananta, that could have been Mico’s name if he has been a girl. Yes, we already have a baby girl’s name. Sofia, a Russian name which means wise and Ananta, an Indian name, which sounds so good and its meaning I can’t remember.

Now, when we learned my third pregnancy, we hoped so hard that it would be Sofia. Boy! it was a boy again. I remembered when we learned i was a baby boy, Kayil was screaming and was really mad, because he wants a baby girl. Now, he told me, he does not want another baby, he was afraid that if we have another one, it won’t be as cute and as adorable as Chico.

Chico is not his real name. His name is Melor Moulik. If finding a name for our second was hard, this was hardest.. well of course it is obvious that we run out of good names LOL.. I can just imagine how hard it must have been to my grandmom who has 14 kids.. (and how about Nadya?) Melor is a modern Russian name. its meaning, that is your assignment for the day.. find out what is the meaning of Melor and report back.LOL Moulik is an Indian name, a variance of Malik I guess.. It is pronounced as Malik, but the way it was spelled was really cool. I can just imagine years from now, Chico’s teachers will have a hard time pronouncing his name… LOL

Their nick names is quite different form their real name. I had it form my mother, my name is Pilipinas or Filipinas but my nickname is Peh. My kids nicks, you already knew by now is Kayil, Mico and Chico..
