Still With Flu

I am missing a lot here in bloguniverse. There’s a gazillion (*grin) of comments that I just approved today. And it will take sometime before I can get back to lovely and sweet people who leave their thoughts here. I lack the enerygy to blog hop. As I have said before, a flu hit the household, not your common colds but a flu. You might be wondering how I am able t post rapidly given my current health condition, well most of them are scheduled post. Some of my post are well drafted in my mind (I can even make a draft even while I am sleeping aka multitasking LOL) that it would only take a minute to type them.

As for the adgitize, UTOY is free for all, a publisher or an advertiser can use it, after all even if you are an advertiser, you still want to earn points. As for the publishers, gaining 100 points in a flash is better.

In line with our current health state, I have something to share about flu.. and hopefully this week, I can also share some tips on fighting a flu or preventing it (but I suck on that I guess)

The most common flu begins abruptly, with a fever in the 102 to 106 degree range (with adults on the lower end of the spectrum), a flushed face, body aches, and marked lack of energy. Some people have other systemic symptoms such as dizziness or vomiting. The fever usually lasts for a day or two, but can last five days.

Somewhere between day 2 and day 4 of the illness, the “whole body” symptoms begin to subside, and respiratory symptoms begin to increase. The virus can settle anywhere in the respiratory tract, producing symptoms of a cold, croup, sore throat, bronchiolitis, ear infection, and/or pneumonia.

The most prominent of the respiratory symptoms is usually a dry, hacking cough. Most people also develop a sore (red) throat and a headache. Nasal discharge and sneezing are not uncommon. These symptoms (except the cough) usually disappear within 4 to 7 days. Sometimes there is a second wave of fever at this time. The cough and tiredness usually lasts for weeks after the rest of the illness is over.(source

Maintaining a lot of blogs is not easy but Niko aced it all! So beside from her personal blog, lovelife blog, Yena’s blog, she also have two other blogs. The other one talks about nothing but trends (courtesy of Google Hot Trends) and the other one wishes to cater to us all, GIRLS!

Girls Rule! talks about anything about girls (obviously). Read about how it is being a daddy’s girl. It also talks about beauty pageant and sassy kids too! For sure, the site will soon talk about undies and panty liners and bra size. You better watch out for that boys!

So clear out some space on your side bar and grab Niko’s badge now! The first few grabbers will be known in the entire blogniverse as the prettiest (next to me).. LOL Seriously guys, just grab it!

Another thing, in line with it being an all about she blog, Niko launched a weekly meme that talks nothing but us. Oh yeah, boys can join but any post that has a negative tone toward girls will be vanish from our blogniverse. The meme is every Thursday, and for this week, the theme is:

Utoy Makes Adgitizing Easy

Host: Greetings everyone! Today our very special guest is the pretty owner of Make or Break and the mother of UTOY!! Let’s give a big round of applause to PEHPOT!!!

Host: Who is UTOY?

Pehpot: Utoy is actually not my creation. It is a collaboration with my husband, yeah, just like making a real baby, I need him. He made the script chuva and all and I just input some data. I tried figuring out how to make a java script for that, spend the night researching for it, and eventually gave up. The next morning, as any housewife would do, I prepare a sumptuous breakfast for him and ask him to make a script for me, impunto, ora mismo. NOW NA!

Host: Why do you have to go through that (prepare breakfast and all) just to have UTOY?

Pehpot: Just like what Utoy says, he is to make our adgitizing life easier and you know adgitize can Increase Blog Traffic

Host: You know what, I have been a member of that adgi thingy and until now I can’t figure that out.

Pehpot: Well, don’t think you are an idiot, I have been there believe me. I signed up for adgitize not knowing what I was doing, eventually gave up the codes and the widgets and say buhbye to their system. Later on, I need some traffic boost for my site and rediscovered ADGITIZE. It was actually easy.

First and foremost, ADGITIZE is not an earning site (although I have been paid and proof of that you can find here). It is a traffic site. ADGITIZE won’t make you rich but it can do wonders in your traffic. Since one of the tools that measures traffic is Alexa, I can brag to you that from being in 22M Alexa ranking, I am now below 300K. Now that was just a month ago, in my old site(GOSSIP MOM), it took me 8 months before reaching that rank.

And so a month ago, I advertise on them and paid $14 for a month long advertisement. Advertisements are shown in the widget or the ad group you are asked to install on your site. Everyday I earn points through clicking the ads on adgitize widget, posting an entry and from my traffic (which until now I can’t figure how). This points are converted to dollars and yeah after a month of doing my usual routine, I earned $15.

Host: Wow! That’s something! Imagine you gain traffic and still earned a bit. (Takes out laptop and starts tweaking her ADGITIZE account). Hmm.. so Pehpot, how is UTOY related to all this?

Pehpot: (peaking on host’s laptop and wishes she had her own..sigh) Oh well since in ADGITIZE you have to visit other site and click on their ads, it is quite tiring to look for sites that have ADGITIZE ads on it. Although some may prefer going to their adgitize dashboard and look for sites they haven’t visited yet, UTOY makes it easier.

UTOY make friends with bloggers and listed them on his list. Each of his treasure box (or plain box to you) have 5 sites in it. Click on each box and 5 tabs will open. Now you have to take note that you need to log on to your adgitize account before playing with UTOY. When tabs are opened, you can now click the ads on each site (so an UTOY box gives you 5 points). Utoy has been very helpful in my point of view. I can make 100 points in a matter of minutes (the maximum number of clicks that is credited to your account).

Host: uhmm.. (concentrated on her laptop and organizing ADGITIZE widget)

Pehpot: (peaks on) ah you know, it would be better if you would put two group ads. You can put somewhere here. Remove that widget of yours.. it’s not working properly.

Host: Really? What do you think about my lay out?

Pehpot: It’s nice but you know Kaye can do wonders with your blog. You can also ask Fedhz for more traffic sites and Niko can give you some tip on how you can increase your Adsense earnings..

Host: Oh that would be nice! waity I will add them to my blogroll now…
