Ceelin Plus launches “Kontra Sakit, Kontra Liit” campaign

When I received an invite from Ceelin Plus for a campaign launch, I just couldn’t say no.. even if I had to rush to Divisoria that day (run out party supplies and for online letterhead printing inspiration). I am glad I attended the said event, I learned so much about growth and immunity that day.

Ceelin Plus launches “Kontra Sakit, Kontra Liit” campaign. It is a campaign that promotes strong immunity and how it is related to growth stunting. United Nations Development Programme recent findings showed that the Philippines has the second highest incidence of stunting in Southeast Asia. This findings was supported by a Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI) study in 2011 on the nutritional status of Filipino children where it’s been found that 3 in every 10 Filipino child, ages 0-5 years old, are stunted for their age.

Growth stunting, according to health experts who graced  the event, is caused by two main factors: malnutrition and recurrence of illness or infections. This two main factors can slow down the growth and can lead to linear growth retardation.

Buti na lang, Ceelin Plus   “Kontra Sakit, Kontra Liit” campaign provides a solution for this growing health concern:

The “Kontra Sakit, Kontra Liit” campaign promoted preventive vitamin C and zinc supplementation among children for strong immunity resulting in normalized growth and thereby prevent growth stunting.

According to health experts, Vitamin C forms part of the body’s natural immune system and stimulates the activity of antibodies and immune cells while zinc is required for the normal development and maintenance of the immune system.  The children will greatly benefit from regular intake.

To know more about growth stunting, its relationship with immunity and and how to prevent this increasing health issue among Filipino children, visit the Ceelin Plus “Kontra Sakit, Kontra Liit” website at www.ceelinplussteps.com and like CeelinPlus on Facebook (www.facebook.com/CeelionPlus) for more updates and tips.

My kids take Ceelin, and I vouch for its good effect on kids’ health. When the kids got older, we switched to the Ceelin chewables, and I think those don’t have zinc? I will check again if there are chewables with zinc.

Ceelin is also my vitamin c of choice for the little man, i just wish he will grow fond of taking it. it has been ages since i gave him a dose, it’s a good thing he’s getting his daily dose of vitamin c from pineapple juice, which he is rather fond of 🙂

My son grew up using Ceelin. I’m now alternating among these three Unilab Vitamin C’s for kids (Ceelin, Ceelin Chewables, and VitaPops). Nice seeing you at this event, Mommy Peh!
