Clara Ole Launches Potluck Foodfest

Who has time to cook? I do!

OK Who am I kidding? I barely have time to cook!

I am a good cook but with the many things that I need to do/ finish, I barely have time to cook. If not for my helper (who do all the slicing and what not) I wont be able to prepare home-cooked meals.

And most of you can relate di ba? No time and space for cooking! But we can find comfort that Clara Oler offers a wide array of convenient food solutions to help us whip up a healthy and delicious meal without taking up much time and space in the kitchen.

To let everyone experience the convenience of Clara Ole, the Potluck Foodfest was launched last April 10 at the R-Space in Bel Air, Makati. Hosted by radio DJ Gelli Victor, the event was a food-filled afternoon that allowed guests to sample different dishes made with Clara Ole. More than just pasta sauces, Clara Ole also offered other delicious and healthy dishes made with their products such as dips n’ dressings, vinaigrettes, and marinades. For dessert, guests satisfied their sweet tooth with treats made with their syrups, jams, and jellies.

The Potluck Foodfest will be a series of eight themed potluck mini parties at condo residences. Beginning April 25, Clara Ole will be going around different condos of different personalities, who will then invite their neighbors, family, and friends to share their own signature dish using Clara Ole. Aside from recipes, they will get to share time and space-saving tips, hacks and helpful information to make fast-paced living a little bit easier.

The Potluck Foodfest launch was highlighted by a very special guest, Ms. Amy Perez, who shared her own signature dish and even prepared it on the spot while the guests got to sample it. She also shared tips and anecdotes on preparing home-cooked meals for her family despite her busy schedule.   What’s more, Ms. Amy Perez will also be hosting her own mini potluck party where she will invite her family and friends to share easy recipes and convenient tips and hacks.

Clara Ole has truly shown that everyone can cook with its #ClaraOlePotluck. Even when we’re in a hurry, we can still prepare and enjoy a hearty meal at home in no time. And this means we get to have more family time and self-time, too. Clara Ole’s convenient food products are ready for anyone to try, and are available in leading supermarkets nationwide.

Milestones Celebration With Jollibee Kids Party

Who says Jollibee Kids Party is for birthday parties only?

Celebrities like Christine Jacob-Sandejas and Bettina Carlos both believe that event the small things is worth celebrating.

TV host, former Olympian and mommy of five, Christine Jacob-Sandejas celebrates the moving up of her youngest son, Jaime. He’s moving up from preschool to grade school and that’s enough reason to treat the whole family to a Jollibee Kids Party.

Christine Jacob-Sandejas and her son Jaime celebrate his moving up from preschool to grade school with a Jollibee Kids Party.

“There’s always a reason to celebrate milestones; it’s like giving the kids a reward for a job well done,” Christine said. “It makes a child feel special, extraordinary. And it is truly felt when the whole family comes together to celebrate the milestone, no matter how big or small it may be.”

Sharing their moment of joy, the Sandejas family invited kids from an orphanage in Alabang to celebrate the moving up of Jaime from preschool to grade school. At the end of the party, Jaime volunteered that his cake be brought to the orphanage so more children can share.

Christine, instead of bringing Jaime’s classmates to the party, she decided to invite the kids from an orphanage in Alabang.

As for TV personality, home baker, and proud mommy Bettina Carlos, she celebrated her daughter Gummy’s moving up ceremony where she received a special “Princess Charming” award. “I’ve always been big on small things. I was never the type who plans celebrations only for big occasions. I like celebrating even the smallest of things – last day of school or good grades,” Bettina said. “I want Gummy to appreciate even the little things in life, that there is a reason to celebrate every day.”

The smile on Gummy’s face during her moving up celebration at Jollibee is something Bettina Carlos would not trade the world for. “Seeing my daughter happy, it’s priceless,” Bettina said.
The Jollibee crew entertained the kids with games and surprises during the Jollibee Kids Party for Gummy’s moving-up celebration.

The hands-on mom added that her daughter has also had birthdays celebrated at Jollibee, and she considers them to be some of the most memorable moments in their life. “She always gets so excited when we throw her a Jollibee Kids Party. It’s heartwarming. Jollibee was one of the first things that got endeared to my daughter so it has a positive feedback on her.”

The two mothers expressed that celebrating milestones is not only for the big events in the life of children, even the smallest milestone is worth celebrating as well.

“Celebrating milestones is something that every child will love and it creates a stronger bond for the family. It can be done anywhere as long as the whole family comes together. “But I chose Jollibee because they make celebrating milestones easy, hassle-free, and affordable. You can never go wrong with Jollibee!“ Christine said.

“Always make it a point to make your children feel that every milestone is celebrated, no matter how small or big the celebration may be. It will show them how to give importance to the milestones in life,” Bettina emphasized.

Make every milestone, big and small, extraordinary by celebrating it with a Jollibee Kids Party. Book a Jollibee Kids Party now by visiting the Jollibee store nearest you or visit the website, www.jollibeeparty.com.

Avengers Age Of Ultron Review

SPOILER ALERT (specially for AoS fans)

I realized that I am more of an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D fan (and Agent Carter) than Avengers fan. All through out the movie, I was hoping Phil would appear and the Avengers will be shocked to see him alive! Or even a scene with Iron Man, if I am not mistaken, he’s very close to Phil. Agent Coulson was present in  2 Iron Man movies. Tony Stark even offered Phil to fly home to Portland to see Audrey (the cellist whom Phil had a romantic relationship).

But I jumped with the sight of Agent Carter!!! She is… waaaaaah (opps sorry! fan mode!)

Back to the movie, I was a bit disappointed that no one from my series appeared but overall Age of Ultron is a great movie. Here are the things that I like about the movie:

  • More stories from the less known (but equally great) characters
  • It’s funny how the movie makes fun of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark character differences (which maybe the foundation of Captain America 3!)
  • The fight scenes are really cool, not jaw dropping but enjoyable
  • The Scarlet Twins and the Scarlet twist (sorry no spoiler here)
  • AGENT CARTER!!!

Things that makes me sad:

  • Hawk Eye’s personal life is not convincing.. it feels like the story was forced
  • The love affair.. another forced plot.. no chemistry at all
  • Why no Phil Coulson?
  • Why no end credits scene?? (there is a mid credits scene, but super short!)

The movie was really great, no doubt about that, but it lacks the grandness, the magic, that overwhelming feeling of seeing all of them together in one film. I don’t regret though that we lined up for the first day showing.

Have you seen Avengers Age of Ultron? What can you say about this movie?
