The expectant mom of today, we’d like to call Belly blessed. She is in touch with her body, she is an informed mom-to-be, often with an equally active and involved partner. She has knowledge and products at her fingertips and she uses this for her own and her coming baby’s benefit.

We must admit, she’s the most “prevalent” type of our modern mom personas. She loves technology and gadgets, and uses these to enhance her life. She takes advantage of technology to allow her to maximize her time, she uses it to be in touch, she uses it to fulfill multiple roles with the least effort and least time. And she uses it to be in the know.
Are you a HANDS-ON MOM?
The hands-on mom wants to be intimately involved in every facet of her child’s life. She is an active, ever-present parent.

More and more moms now choose to breastfeed because they know breastmilk is truly the best and that making breastmilk is our very own “superpower”. Armed with information and support, she is a committed nursing mom, inspite of all the challenges that go with breastfeeding.

The sling wearing mom-of-today is a sight to behold. She carries her baby wherever she goes, with confidence and with ease. She chooses to babywear not only for the convenience but also because she believes in the benefits of attachment parenting.

And if you ask me, I would say, trying to be an Earth-loving mom with my no plastic policy, we don’ use plastic bags as much as possible, even when buying meat and fish, we always bring reusable wares and ecobags.

I am also a bit of a techie mom (with more than 10 blogs, I think I’m a bit techie), a breastfeeding mom (all my kids are breastfed exclusively for at least a year), baby wearing mom (although I only wear my 3rd and 4th babies) but most of all I am a HANDS-ON MOM. I just have to be involve in everything my kids do.. yes, I am a stage mom at some point (or points?haha). It just came natural, when I choose to be a stay at home, I promised to be there, to be always there for my kids. I am so hands on that even the alphabet chart that we use is a hand made (as well as their Christmas socks, their Halloween costumes, their party favors and if I can, I will even bake and design their own cake).. that’s normal right? hands-on.. very much!

I recently discovered that my 3 year old son (turning 4 this May) loves Music. How? I downloaded an alphabet musical on Ipad and he really loved it, spend hours playing or listening on it. Makes me wonder if it that is his talent.. been hearing him sing with Freddie Mercury whenever his dad play a Queen song.

Last April 21-22 at SM North Edsa Skydome kids had the chance to get a free workshop, from Star Magic, of course!. The two day event gives access to moms and kids to show off their talent as Star magic held free workshops for acting, singing and dancing. Audition were also held and chosen kids were asked to perform on the stage, as Dimples Romana and Xian Lim hosted the show.

When I first learned I’ll be having a baby, I am so excited to start shopping for baby clothes. Being a first time mom, I had to ask my mother for some advice when it comes to shopping for baby clothes. The first thing she said is buy white baby clothing. WHITE? why not blue if it is a baby boy or pink and yellow if it is a girl? My mom pointed out that white baby clothing is a better option for these particular reasons:

white is cooler
with white clothing, you can easily spot dirt or insects specially ants
