Mommy Moments: Treasured Picture

This week’s theme for Mommy Moments is Treasured Picture. It is hard looking for a treasured picture when you’re mommy of three (and soon to be four). Of course, all of us knew that our treasured pic is again, about our kids (good thing Niko thought of Girls Talk). Actually, all pictures in my files are my treasure, specially those that I am with my family and those where my kids are in it. I am pretty sure that mommies like Fedhz and Kaye (who both got one kid only) would have a hard time picking their fave one. Just imagine how hard it has been to me.. Then again, I remember a certain photo that I like the most…

This was taken last May 2008, a week before I gave birth to our darling Chico. This is one of my treasure pic because the love they had with each other is undeniable and you can see from their smiles that they are excited for their coming baby.

I am supposed to have one meme at a time (or day for you), I already got Litratong Pinoy every Thursday, but I cannot let this meme pass. Aside from the fact that this my Kumareng Niko we are talking here, I really want the over all theme of this meme. For a change, let’s talk about ourselves as a woman. Why you love being a girl?

I answered the same question before in one of my forum paying site.. the question then was, if I have a choice (for my own gender), which gender I prefer? girl or boy? My answer was short and simple..

I love being a girl because I have the ability to give life (give birth) and the ability to nurture ad nourish it (breastfeeding).

I am not a radical feminist that thinks that women are stronger than men, I am a feminist in a way that I knew each one has a role in the society. There are things that men can do (like urinating in a bottle, 10 boys at a time) and women cannot. There are things that women excels and men cannot and to me the greatest thing that I can do and would not trade for a muscle or bottle urinating is my uterus and my mammary glands. I just love being ME!
