Are You Eating Too Much?

Was there a time in your life where you thought your body is not pretty? Was there a time in your life where a carrot stick is all you should eat in order to feel pretty? I never experienced it as my self discipline is not that good. In fact, I should be exercising now but here I am sitting here and making my tummy grow bigger. I never really experienced eating disorder. How about you?

But first, what really is Eating Disorder?

Eating disorder is condition where in someone is obsessed with her food intake. This is a psychological malady as the obsession on food intake is a way of gaining control and coping. This is mostly common to women. This condition is very unique as it tackles the very reason why we survive physically, eating. The disorder is very complicated thus it requires Eating Disorder Treatments that specifically targets the different types of disorders.

Types of eating disorder

Anorexia Nervosa is an eating disorder where the person eats little amount of food or in some cases, nothing at all. Most who suffer this kind of disorder are very thin. These are the people who needs Anorexia treatment. They need it to regulate their food intake, but not only that, there are other factors that are considered when treating anorexia.

Bulimia Nervosa is another type of eating disorder. The treatment for this one is called Bulimia Treatments. The people who experience this kind of disorder usually binge out and purge themselves. Binge eating is feeling bad after eating a big amount of food. In order to purge themselves, they vomit and throw up what they have eaten. Purging can also be in the form of excessive exercise or use of laxatives. Most who experience this are in normal weight.

Compulsive Overeating is another type but this one is more critical than Bulimia Nervosa. Most people are obese and they consume an excessive amount of food in a short period. And most of those who suffer this have a history of depression.

Learning about the types of eating disorder, I can say that somewhat I experienced slight Bulimia. During my college life, when I eat more, I walk and walk until I don’t feel about what I did.
