Memories of playing Bingo

My grandmother’s house was located just in front of the plaza, so every feast celebration when I stayed there the fair was just around the corner, so to speak. Every night me and my friends would visit the fair to play Bingo. The first game was free and the prizes ranged from household items to some coins. I used to be really lucky back then as I would win night after night. There was one game where the prizes I won were catsup, soy sauce and other dips. I had to go back and forth my grandmother’s house and the bingo house because I can’t carry the prizes all at the same time.

Nowadays, I seldom see people celebrating feast the way we celebrated it before. And there are no more fairs to play games such as Bingo. If anyone wants to play Bingo now, they would need to go to the nearest mall where there is a Bingo house. And you can even play it at home. I am actually amazed at the different games you can play online, Spin and Win bingo  is a great example. Actually, from the time that I played Bingo (1980′s) the rules may still be the same but there are more ways to play now, more ways to win and more patterns!

And you know, Bingo playing is a good memory to me. The excitement of waiting for your number and then shouting BINGO! Priceless! It’s very exciting to me still, and I really wish it would become more popular again, and I think I might start it up again near my house when it comes back around to the time of feast celebrations. I know all the bingo rules, I think I would be the perfect person for this. Until then though, I guess I’ll just keep playing online. That’s lots of fun too.

I can even hear the sound of the bingo numbers being shaken inside the bingo container; the girls in the house would even spend the whole afternoon just to play bingo. Nowadays, you can now play bingo online; playing online wouldn’t replace that memory in my heart.

Great article! I’ve always played cards and the slots in casinos, but never bingo! I’ve been trying to find some new games to play, and this gave me some great insight! So far this and have been the most helpful. Thanks for sharing!
