Build Your Backyard Pool

Having your own backyard trampoline or pool and trying to build your backyard pool is one of the most satisfying activity a home owner can do. Kids always have great enthusiast when it comes to swimming- whether on a pool or on the beach. And because summer is coming, kids are more eager to experience unlimited swimming. If you have kids who love swimming, you might consider having your own backyard pool. But, there are things that you need to know first like the necessity of having tap cover for pool safety Gold Coast and other safety precautions to build your backyard pool.

5 Things You Need To Know Before Building Your Backyard Pool

1. Design of the pool

There are many designs of pool that are suitable for backyard, one of the most common is the giant pool. Another common design is the above the ground pool which is more convenient to build. There are also some swimming pool designs that are very artistic and modern, one of these is the fiberglass pool.

2. Pool safety and electrical safety

This is one of the first things that you need to secure- the pool safety and electrical safety. It is much recommended to have a tap cover for pool safety so that you won’t have to worry whenever your kids are having fun at the backyard.

3. Plumbing and Electrical

Both plumbing and electrical necessity of the installation of the swimming pool must be supervised by licensed and professional personnel. Do not oversee these issues and do not rely on unreliable plumbers and electricians.

4. Water source

There must be a sufficient water source so that you will be able to fill up the swimming pool in minimal time. Check with your local water services provider if they can provide you a special service.

5. Permit in your area

To avoid conflict, check with your subdivision, if you are inside a private subdivision. If you’re not inside a private subdivision, get your permit on the municipality that you belong. Do not skip this requirement and strictly follow the municipality rules and regulations.

We don’t want to compromise our kids’ safety so better to check first if you are capable to have your own swimming pool in your backyard.

Our yard is too small for a pool, but I would love to have one. For now, we will stick to the beach 🙂

I wish our back yard was big enough for pool. We looked into one a couple of years ago but figured we would wait until we have more room so we settled on a hot tub instead. LOL!! There aren’t really any houses in our area that has an outdoor pool…with the ice and cold there is a huge risk of structural damage with the changing conditions.

Great post! I can’t imagine living without a pool – I’ve always had one my entire life so it’s just something I’m accustomed to and something I will always have! There’s so much work that goes into them that people don’t realize, and maintenance!

My neighbors built a pool in their backyard and it is SO nice! I can never picture projects like this prior to them being finished so to me, it didn’t look like there was enough space for a nice pool, but they totally made it work. It was a lot of time and effort and is still a lot of time and effort on their part, to keep the pool clean and running smoothly. They are also still trying to get grass to grow back in the area around where the construction was…3 years later!

We don’t own our home, but I would love to design my own pool someday. My Aunt designed her own in Lake Havasu, AZ and although it didn’t turn out exactly how she had hoped they do love it. These are awesome tips that I will remember if I get the chance to design my own!

We would love to get a pool, well my daugher and I would anyway. Growing up my family never had a pool and I always wanted one. Of course my daughter wants one because what kid wouldn’t ? My husband isn’t as big of a fan of the idea though and if we didn’t have so many bugs here I would fight him harder on it.

When I was in high school one of our projects was to design our own home and we had to graph it all out. My pool included a waterfall and built in slide, gosh I wish I could afford to build my dream home and pool, it’d be like a million dollars. haha
