October is a busy month for parents whos kids are going to school. Aside from exams, there’s Rosary Rally, sometimes Halloween Party and of course, United Nations Celebration. And though I usually post United Nations costumes during this time, maiba naman, I am going to post United Nations Facts For Kids. May quiz bee daw kase ng United Nations sa school ng mga bagets ko eh. Not really aiming for the trophy but I just don’t want my kids looking dumb during the elimination rounds haha

  4. Carlos P. Romulo became the first permanent representative of the Philippines to the United Nations

  6. UNSC seat is non-permanent.
  7. The Philippines current ambassador is Teodoro L. Locsin Jr.
  8. Narcisa L. Escaler is the first Filipina permanent representative of the Philippines to the United Nations
  9. In 2013, Filipino peacekeepers were held hostage by Syrian rebels and were eventually released.
