5 Tips to Helping Your Teenage Athlete Remain Healthy for the Season

Teenage athletes especially those in pro sports, are likely to find themselves in play all year round. While this is great for their career, it can also expose them to injuries. It can also expose them to nutritional deficiencies, which can affect their career, as well as their daily lives later along into retirement. To help you take care your teenage athlete, here are 5 tips to helping them remain healthy for the season.

1. Tell them to report any pains immediately
For athletes, especially those in contact sports, pain can be a pointer to some more serious problem. Unfortunately teenagers being teenagers might decide to ignore pain, just to prove to their fellow athletes that they are tough. That’s why you need to talk to your teenage athlete, and help them understand the importance of reporting pain to their doctor. By doing this, you can be sure that they will stay in play all season.

2. Ensure that they get enough sleep
One of the things that contribute to injuries and other health issues among athletes is lack of sleep. To ensure that your teenage athlete remains healthy all through the season, ensure that they get enough sleep every day. Sleep allows the body to rejuvenate and repair damaged tissue. As a result, they have a less predisposition to injuries that might rule them out of play for the whole season, or for significant parts of it. If you can ensure that they get at least eight hours of sleep daily, the better for them.

3. Give them multivitamins
Vitamins give you micronutrients that you can’t get from other forms of food. They also help improve the immune system, hence keeping you healthier for longer. For your teenage athlete, a higher immune system means that they stay in play for longer during the season. That’s because they won’t have to take sick –offs that might affect their season performance. 5. Regular-sized Hallmark Valentine’s Cards are the ONLY document/s allowed to be delivered.

1. Libre po ba ang card? Hindi po. Ang libre po eh yung pa LBC. At para maka libre ng pa LBC, kailangan nyo po bumili ng Hallmark Card.

2. Magkano ang Hallmark Card? Dapat 50 pesos worth ang bibilhin mo pero alam ko iba iba ang presyo ng cards.

3. Pwede ba ako magpadala ng malalaking cards? Hindi po, regular sized cards only ang allowed.

4. Pwede po ba ako magpadala sa UK or sa US? Hindi po, within the Philippines lang po ang pwede.

5. Kailan matatangap ang padala ko? Delivery of Hallmark Valentine’s Cards will take up 3 days for NCR, North Luzon and South Luzon. Delivery of Hallmark Valentine’s Cards will take up to 7 days for Visayas, Mindanao and Islander.

4 Tips To Choosing The Best Chef Knife

A chef knife needs to be light enough so it does not tire you easily, sharp, and requires less maintenance. It should perform various tasks easily may it be cubing meat, chopping carrots or slicing onions. Best of all, the knife needs to be durable so that it can give you service for a long time.

When choosing the knife, check the grip. The knife should have a comfortable grip and it should feel good when you hold it in your hand. You may opt for a lighter knife that can perform as well as the heavier ones, provided you keep the blade sharp to compensate for the lack of weight.

Choose the right handle

The handle of the knife should be comfortable, provide a sturdy hold, and not cause bruises on the palms. You can opt for a handle made of fiber, wood or steel depending on what you prefer and the ‘feel’ of the knife that you prefer. Just make sure that the knife has full tang so that it can have a good balance.
