Gamot Sa Kuto: Tried And Tested Treatment

Madalas pag pasukan na, problema nating mga nanay ang kuto. Ano ba ang gamot sa kuto? Bakit pabalik balik ang kuto? Ano and tried and tested kuto treatment para maiwasan ang pagkamot kamot ng ating mga anak?

Here’s the simple solution to head lice infestation:

1. Gumamit ng anti kuto shampoo kagaya ng Licealiz. From my expereience Lizealiz ang gamot sa kuto na naging effective sa anak ko.

Just follow the instruction at the back of the bottle pero mas effective kung susundin mo din ang mga sumusunod:

i massage mabuti ang shampoo sa ulo lalo na sa may batok, sa may malapit sa noo at sa may likod ng tenga. Based on our expereince, diyan sa pwesto na yan madaming lisa o itlog ng kuto. Kumbaga, yan sa mga area na yan matatagpuan ang paanakan ng mga kuto.
Siguraduhing naibabad ng mahigit sa sampung minuto ang buhok bago banlawan.
Banlawang mabuti ang buhok at patuyuin. Banlian yung tuwalya na ginamit para mamatay ang kuto na napasama sa tuwalya.
Patuyuin ang buhok at gumamit ng magic suyod.

Eto po ang itsura ng magic suyod. Saan nakakabili ng magic suyod? Marami po nyan sa palengke. Meron din sa Lazada pero sobrang mahal! Mas mura sa shoppe, may handle pa yung iba.

2. Make sure na laging malinis ang buhok ng mga bata. I shampoo at least once a day ang buhok at siguraduhin na nabanlawang mabuti. Teach your kids proper hair hygiene and teach them to comb their hair always. Huwag igaya sa atin na takot sa suklay.

3. Braid your child’s hair always. Effective ito para maiwasan ang pagkahawa ng kuto sa mga kaklase. Based on my readings, head to head is the most common route of lice transmission. Head to head contact ang expressway nila mga inay. Of course hindi naman maiiwasan yan di ba? So to minimize, i braid mo ang hair ng anak mo para hindi masyadong madikit sa buhok ng kaklase nya ang buhok nya.

4. Labhan or disinfect ang unan ni bata. Head lice can live off the head for 48 hours. Nabubuhay sya sa mga soft materials gaya ng pillowcase at jacket. Kung tamad ka maglaba, plantsahin mo na lang yung mga unan na ginamit ng anak mo at bedsheet.

5. Gumamit pa rin ng anti kuto shampoo kahit once a month to prevent another episode of head lice infestation.

Mas mainam din if lahat ng tao sa bahay, lalo na ang mga babae (katulong, lola, o ikaw mismo inay) ay gagamit ng anti kuto shampoo.

My kids started wearing eyeglasses as early as 6 or 7 years old (sorry na, #momnesia), mas bata pa sa akin. Poor eyesight runs in the family! It’s sad but we don’t dwell on that, we focus on the solution and not on the problem. And thank goodness we have the means to buy my kids eyeglasses. I just can’t imagine my life without eyeglasses or how difficult my kids life would be without one. Ang hirap magbasa sa blackboard no. Specially with us na ang surname ay P! Pag nag arrange alphabetically, kawawa ang mga anak kong malalabo ang mata.

But not all people or kids have the means to buy an eyeglasses, let alone afford an eye check up. In fact, at least ten in every 100 Filipino students are suffering from poor eyesight. Quite alarming ano? This concern has led Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) to team up with leading actor and brand ambassador Piolo Pascual to launch Eye Can Succeed. The program is geared at providingfree eye check-ups and free prescription eyeglasses to help 10,000 senior high school students pursue higher education and achieve success.

Piolo Pascual Eye Can Succeed Event in Rizal High School Pasig

EVF kicked off the advocacy campaign at Rizal High School, which has been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest secondary school in the world, by having licensed eye health professionals discuss the importance of healthy vision, proper eye care, and optometry as a career option for Grades 11 and 12 students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) academic strand.

With the assistance of volunteer optometrists, EVF examined the school’s 4,000-strong Grades 11 and 12 students and distributed free prescription glasses to students who are in need.
