We just got a new gadget! It’s the newest product from Globe and it’s prepaid! This is a quick Globe Prepaid Home Wifi Installation Guide. I will update this blog post for a review after a week or a few days of using the wifi.
Back story: I just got a call from a Globe rep asking if I would be interested sa Globe wifi. What are the odds! Disclosure: the unit was given to us by Globe for review as part of my partnership with them.
Globe Prepaid Home Wifi is only P1,999 and it’s a one time payment since it is prepaid. Load it when you need an internet!
Globe Prepaid Home Wifi Installation Guide
It’s super duper easy to install Globe Prepaid Home Wifi and there is a short guide inside the box. Here’s how we installed it:
- Open the box.
- Plug the wifi
- Get phone and open wifi setting.
- Enter wifi name and password which can be found at the bottom of the wifi.
- Claim free data and enjoy surfing!
That sounds super easy no? Yeah it is but I will make it easier pa for you. Here’s a photo of the steps I did, or some of the steps:
After opening Globe Prepaid Home Wifi and plugging it, I got my phone, turned on WIFI:
Click OTHER and then input the network information which can be found at the bottom of your Globe Prepaid Home Wifi.
NETWORK NAME IS SSID. Password is WIFI KEY
SECURITY? Choose WPA2.
With the correct network information, you will be able to connect your phone to Globe Prepaid Home Wifi.
How to ACTIVATE 10GB Free Data to my Globe Prepaid Home Wifi?
- Go to http://192.168.1.1/ and log in using the username and password which can be found also at the bottom.
- Click SMS
- Send “FREE10GB” to 8080
How to load Prepaid Home Wifi?
- The wifi comes with a Globe sim and you can find the number at the back of the wifi router. Load it like you would load your Globe phone.
- There is no option how to load via call card. My guess is, you load the call card to your phone then pasa load it to your Globe Prepaid Home Wifi.

What I love about Globe Prepaid Home Wifi? It’s prepaid! I don’t have to apply for a post paid service which takes a lot of time. Also, our place is not yet covered with Globe’s postpaid internet. The new Globe Prepaid Home Wifi is perfect for our set up.
I love the design of the router. It’s compact and I can bring it anywhere, anytime. Speed wise? Well it depends on the location but at 11 PM, my speed is 4 MBPS.
