The Pokémon Company and Niantic, Inc. Announce Pokémon GO Partnership With Globe Telecom In The Philippines
Kicks-off with the first Philippine Pokémon Festival on October 28, 2016

The Pokémon Company, creators of one of the most popular entertainment properties in the world, Niantic, Inc., innovative developer and publisher of ‘real world games’, and Globe Telecom, the Philippines leading mobile brand, today have officially announced a new partnership. The three companies will work together to bring Filipinos a richer and more enjoyable mobile entertainment experience centered around Pokémon GO, including activating Globe retail locations and charging stations as PokéStops and Gyms within the game, and allowing Filipinos to catch, battle and train at any of Globe’s many outlets throughout the country. Globe will kick off the Pokémon GO partnership during the first Philippine Pokémon Fest, being held on October 28 and 29.

“Pokémon GO is a huge hit with Trainers here in Philippines and we’re excited to give them greater access to PokéStops and Gyms through our work with Globe.” said John Hanke, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Niantic. “Combining our resources with Globe will be a huge win for all Pokémon fans.”

“We are excited to work with one of the most innovative companies in the Philippines. We hope this partnership will bring joy and more opportunities for kids to be in touch with Pokémon more often” says Susumu Fukunaga, Corporate Officer of The Pokémon Company.

“These are exciting times for all Pokémon fans in the country. This partnership with The Pokémon Company and Niantic, opens up a lot of new opportunities at Globe to provide our customers with new ways to enjoy content on their mobile devices. Not only will we be able to provide access to the app, but everyone can look forward to more surprises in the coming months,” says Globe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Dan Horan.

Just in time for Halloween, the event will bring Pokémon to life through appearances, screenings and many other activities. A free event open to Pokémon fans and game enthusiasts alike, the Philippine Pokémon Fest will feature walks and tours, costume contests and Pokémon GO battles throughout the weekend.

“Love To See Change” Essilor’s World Sight Day Campaign

Here’s a campaign na hindi ko papalagpasin ikampanya, mainly because I have an eye problem (and so are my kids). And I know that it comes with an expensive price tag. So happy that Essilor is observing World Sight Day by launching a campaign called, “Love to See Change.” It’s an online program that encourages everyone to commit to having their eyes checked within the year.

Love To See Change

“Love To See Change” Essilor’s World Sight Day Campaign

Essilor’s “Love to See Change” invites Essilor employees and the general public to pledge their commitment to have their eyes checked through the website, www.lovetoseechange.com/en/ starting October 13 through the end of 2016. For the first 100,000 users who will make a pledge, the Essilor Group will donate $1 on their behalf in favour of a local initiative that supports healthy vision for those in need.

Every year, Essilor actively participates in WSD initiatives for the promotion of good eyesight through various programs and events held across different countries around the world. In 2015 alone, the company has initiated an astounding 23,284 vision tests in more than 49 countries worldwide. This is in line with Essilor’s mission of improving lives by improving eyesight.

World Sight Day is organized by the World Health Organization and is observed annually every second Thursday of October. It is a part of a global action plan aimed at decreasing needless visual impairment, generating data about the magnitude and causes of visual impairment and encouraging nations to adopt eye health policies.

Love to See Change

Be a part of this campaign and it starts with you taking a pledge. I already did!

How To Write An Effective Product Review

Writing a product review is easy di ba? But how do you know if your post is effective or if it really made an impact to your readers? Is your review influential enough? Chos! How To Write An Effective Product Review? I asked myself about this more than a hundred times. I never really got the answer until I started reading product review posts. That’s how I learned how to create a product review that is moving and interesting.

How To Write An Effective Product Review

Let’s just be clear OK? When I say effective, it means it made an impact to the reader. It doesn’t need to be convincing, it should make you readers think and consider. That’s how I mean by effective. I believe that a product review should cover 5 basic talking points for it to be very effective.

How To Write An Effective Product Review: 5 Talking Points

  1. Information about the product which includes the price, where you got it and where your readers can buy it. Also include the demography of the product. Is it for female only? Age restrictions? Health restrictions?
  2. How to use the product. If you can include a video, the better.
  3. What you love the product. Mention at least 3 things you like about the product.
  4. What you do not like about the product/ area that needs improvement.
  5. Your recommendation? Would you buy it again? Is it worth your money? Would you recommend your readers to buy it?

Aside from the 5 talking points, never post your product review without a photo. It should not be blurry. Use as much lighting as you can. Take a photo of the product outside or create a DIY photo box for products.

Lastly, you need to be really honest with your review. Do not sugarcoat it, readers can tell if you’re lying. And it is always wise to disclose if the product review post is sponsored or not.
