Tagaytay Easter Events 2017

If Baguio is nearer, I’d be blogging about Baguio Easter Events. But we can only do Tagaytay if ever we decide an out of town Easter event. It’s cold and an outdoor Easter event is very promising. So here we are with Tagaytay Easter Events. Surprisingly, there are more than 5 hotels/resorts in Tagaytay that will be having an Easter event this year!

Tagaytay Easter Events 2017

First on the list is Taal Vista Hotel Easter Event, because we already stayed on this hotel and we’re looking forward to spending another night or maybe two!

Tagaytay Easter Events 2017 Call 02 9178225 or 917-8219 or email foodandbeverage@taalvistahotel.com for ticket price. This looks exciting because of the sponsors and line up of activities.

Another worth checking out is Kimberly Hotel Easter Event, we also stayed here once and we love the pool and the playground!

Kimberly Hotel promise that they will have the usual fun kiddie activities (and if I am not mistaken, they have real rabbits!). Tickets are 500 at regular and 295 Pesos for in house guests.

Not in the area of Tagaytay but another hotel/resort that we have stayed and having an Easter event is Chateau Royale Hotel Resort Spa. This resort is huge! And the rooms are big too. We will be back super soon.

Ticket is only 399 Pesos and includes kiddie meal, games and prizes from sponsors. There will also be an award for Best in Costume (female and male). I am guessing you need to be a guest to join this event.

The Lake Hotel Tagaytay is also celebrating Easter on April 16. For inquiries, call 02-584-4470 or (+63) 917-593-9431, email lakehotel_reservations@yahoo.com

Lake Hotel Tagaytay Easter Event ticket is 399 Pesos per kid and includes fun activities such as magic show, face painting, balloon twisting, candy buffet, egg painting, and of course, EGG HUNTING!

Tagaytay Highlands Easter Event is also worth checking out.

Heard that there are lots of eggs on this event. Tagaytay Highlands Kiddie Carnival Egg Hunt 2017 ticket is 150 PhP for Kids 1-3 years old, 700 PhP for kids 4-12 years old and 400 PhP for adults. Participant will have a chance to win a Go Pro Hero 4 and an Ipod Touch 6th generation.

Registration starts at 8:00am at the Sports Center and Egg Hunt follows at The Gardens. Program with stiltwalkers, cyclists, clowns, magician and many more to cap off the event. Check out Tagaytay Highlands FB Event Page for more details.

Utilizing Your Backyard

Although backyards are great in terms of space they are providing, most people neglect their potential utility. In other words, we commonly see them as an extension of the house where you can come and relax during summertime.

This is pretty shallow although not completely wrong. Truth be told, there are so many thing we can do with this part of our home. For example, instead of paying so much for our bills, we can always use backyard as a unique power generating area.

You don’t believe me? Let’s check out these 4 methods that will help you use your backyard in the most productive way possible.

1. Get your solar panels

Most homeowners will put solar panels on the roof. This is a no brainer as roof has unobstructed access to the sunrays. But, in certain cases, this will not be enough.

If you have an agricultural plot attached to your home, you might need much more electricity than that. In other words, roof will not be able to facilitate all the solar panels needed.

So, as a solution, you can always position several panels in your backyard. Great thing about panels is that they are really cheap nowadays. Furthermore, you can get your money back after a short while which means that you will be making profit (by paying lesser bills) after that.

2. Water collection in your backyard

A lot of homeowners are dependent on local water provider. But, it is much better if they start getting the water themselves.

You can easily collect rainwater with rainwater tanks or rainwater barrels.

Rainwater barrels are simpler solution where you are able to get all the water dripping from your roof into a barrel. This rainwater can later be used for gardening and other backyard choirs.

Rainwater tanks are a complex structure that also collets rainwater. However, all the similarities end there. Unlike barrels, rainwater tanks are supplying your home with fresh, filtrated water. This is possible with submersible water pumps from ForPumps. With this pump, water can be sent from tank to house for further use.

3. Creating your own compost

While you’re gardening, you are probably using a lot of fertilizers. No matter how great these products are, they are still based on some chemical components.

Instead of paying hefty sums for fertilizers, why don’t you make your own?

Basically, all you need is to set up an area where you will dump all your biodegradable material. After dissolving, this material can have another use. It can be your personal compost saving you money and time which you would need for purchasing finished products.

4. Using the same materials over and over

Here is another eco solution.

If you have a big household, you probably have a lot of spare resources such as wood and metals. In some cases, you can even salvage some items that are busted and reuse them.

Basically, all these spare resources can be used to create backyard modifications. You can use an old wooden table, disassemble it and reuse its wood as for patio (naturally, you will need more wood than that). You can do so much with old, broken furniture and reinvent it within the garden.

Furthermore, these new items do not have to be décor purpose. You can use them also for some functional solutions.

Conclusion

We can use our backyard in various ways. Most homeowners already have the necessary materials for improvement. It all comes down to recycling materials and finding them a new purpose.

In some cases, you will have to invest in a rainwater tank or solar panels. Nevertheless, they will be a great long-term solution that will definitely save you a lot of money in future.
