You’re Invited: Fun Ranch Larolympics Year 2!

Fun Ranch will be holding Larolympics for the second time! Larolympics is an event that promotes outdoor play for the entire family and encourages players to disengage from gadgets. It reintroduces traditional Filipino games and promotes outdoor play for kids and their families.

HOW TO JOIN Fun Ranch Larolympics year 2:

Form a group with at least 2 kids ages 5-10 years old and at least 1 adult, maximum number of team is 5.
Call 470-9925 to pre-register

The event is on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Fun Ranch, Ortigas. Winners will receive medals from Fun Ranch, gift packs from Lactacyd Toddler Tubs, Champs Chewable Vitamins for Kids and overnight stay for parents with 2 kids at Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park. Refreshments will be served after the event.

Becuase Letting Go IS Really Hard

I would like to think that I am on stage 2 of being a mother. I passed stage 1 with flying colors! Yippeee! Uhmm maybe.. OK I indulged a bit on toys.

Stage 1, for me, starts with the moment I found I am pregnant and it goes on until today. I realized, mt kids are are all grown up, uhmm that I no longer have a toddler in the house. Sati will be 6 this year and by next year, she’ll be in elementary! sniff..sniff.. sniff.

And during those times, I bought so many educational toys aka bricks. I had a fixation with Mega Bloks.. because their biggest size, which they call Maxi is very appropriate for toddlers. I hoard! OK that’s an understatement, this is how much Mega Bloks bricks we have:

That’s just the bricks.. not to mention other Mega Bloks toys such as castle, cars, people, tracks, little cars.. etc.. etc..

I know I can’t bring all those to our new house, specially that the kids have no use for it anymore… as I have said, were now in Stage 2 of parenting. Which for me, means more expensive toys but less bulky toys. They’re now asking for Nerf and Lego bricks while Sati loves anything Barbie. See the transition from Stage 1 to Stage 2?

The burning question: What to do with these toys?!?

It would be easier to just dispose them by handing them to the garbage collector no? BUT IT’S NOT THAT EASY! THESE ARE MY TOYS! Imagine me trying to hand a black garbage bag to a garbage collector and suddenly screams I JUST CAN’T and runs away with the toys. What a sight no?

Letting go is really really HARD! I just don’t what to regret this move 20 years or more from now. Haaaaaays

Selling is not part of the menu.. it’s either I donate it or try to squeeze it in our new house…

I CAN’T BREATHE… I NEED MORE TIME.

My Child Is More Than Brain Smart Twitter Giveaway!

When the husband said he needs a long drive to relax, the only destination we could think of is San Juan, La Union. So one weekend, we packed our bags and drive to La Union for the much needed R&R.

San Juan talaga is the best beach for us.. the food, the people and the long drive…and yes, SURFING! And my 3rd boy Chico finally braved the waves:

Yes, that’s him… he was afraid at first pero nung nasanay na, ayaw na tumigil! If not for the rubber board that’s hurting his tummy, hindi talaga to titigil. So for his 7th birthday, he asked for a rashguard + another weekend at San Juan with unli surfing!

Even if he stumbles and falls into the water, he still wants to ride the waves! He really is more than brain smart! He’s also body smart and of course people smart too!
