Mommy Levy dressed her son as Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent. Check out her blog post on how to DIY a Clark Kent costume> How to do a Clark Kent Costume

PVZ Zombie Costume

Jhanis of  Vanilla Housewife said they made the PVZ zombie head  using a box. tissue paper, poster paint and lots of glue and masking tape. The eyes are styro balls.

Mommy Badet is now officially my DIY 1st princess LOL (joke lang Badet! haha) She made Gwen a DIY India costume and DIY Dora The Explorer costume:

Mommy Serene of Nurse’s Diary took inspiration from the movie The Croods with their Halloween costume last year:

And here’s my fair share of DIY Halloween costumes:

DIY Angel Costume

Out of the 5 costumes I made for Sati this October (I did that? what?!?) this DIY angel costume was the easiest. The wings, I was planning to DIY it too but Mommy Chai just lend a pair of wings to me.

Her top is an undershirt, a few sizes bigger than her. I sewed frosted illusion tule for the sleeves. I also use the same fabric for the tutu. As usual, the tutu was a no sew one. How to make no sew tutu? Check out my blog post>>> How to make a no sew tutu for little girls.

Wonder Woman Costume For Kids

This is the costume that won her the best costume from the Shakey’s Party we attended a few weeks ago. And this is the hardest I made! Everything was hand sewn on that costume!!!

Elsa Costume For Kids

This Elsa costume needs more polishing..but it’s really easy to make as long as you got the right fabric. I bought mine from Taytay, Rizal.

Tinkerbell Costume For Kids

This is the costume she wore during the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party. I enjoyed making this costume because I made it in less than an hour! And the shoes! It’s so tink!!

The last but not the least, this is the costume she wore for United Nations Parade:

From Elsa costume onwards, I already got a small sewing machine that helped me in making the costumes.

As you can see , I really enjoy making costumes!

Are you ready for the Halloween? What will be your kids’ costume this Halloween?

Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party 2014

Let’s just say that Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party is the “highlight” of my mommy blogging moments…

eh bakit naman hindi, I get to meet the mommies behind the blogs I read and visit! Yeeeey!!

O sha let’s proceed..

The event happened last October 18 at Fun Ranch in Teindesitas (oo na, isa rin sa rason kung bakit excited ako sa party na ito.. isang kembot lang sa bahay ko eh) Bonggey ang Fun Ranch, pinahiram nila sa mga mommy bloggers ang biggest room nila!

Photo from their website

This a costume party, right? And my boys were infected prior to the party.. they don’t even need to wear a costume! LOL

Hindi man lang nag excuse me ang photographer! Hindi man lang ako pinagbigyan mag lipistik!!!!

Sati was Tinkerbell during the party 🙂 and me? well.. gusto kong maniwala na sexy momma ang costume ko that day! pero and ending isa akong plakard ng PAGODA COLDWAVE LOTION!!!

Speaking of party sponsors, here are some of the sponsors that caught my attention during the party:

Our favorite body scrub, The Cream Factory!

Drink all you want!

Here’s the complete list of Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party Sponsors:

Event sponsors collage photo from Photomark Lightworks, Inc.

I didn’t went home empty handed.. in fact, we went home with aching muscles (ano daw?) later on that.. but we bagged the scariest costume!! awwwwwooooooooo!

Pero a bit of me was sad.. which is entirely my fault.. I have 4 clingy kids in tow! SAMPAYAN! yun pala ang costume ko that day!

I never got the chance to really mingle 🙁 waley ang tapang ng apog!

But I still got the chance to besos beso my blogger friends.. Pakitag ako sa photos please!

And a few more! Hello Bebengisms, Nurse’s Diary and Life as the CEO!! Mga table mates ko ang mga yan.. and thank you ladies for the sweets and the goodies.. sorry po naubos agad bago mag photo op..

And I met someone that I really want to meet! Hello Hello All Around Pinay Mama! Lesson learned.. next blogging event or mommy blogger affair.. I will make a list of all the mommy bloggers that I want to meet, hunt their FB pics, print it together with a short bio, and the look of their blog (stalker much???)

Aside from the raffles, best in costume awarding, Kids trick and treating, maraming pang ganap during the party.. and one of our fave (me and the kids ha).. booths with free tasting!

I also enjoyed the cooking demo:

And another one.. meeting MJ of Fly Ace.. It’s always nice to see / meet the people that invites you to their events. Hello MJ! And thank you so much for all the goodies!

Ah yes.. the goodies! Aside from the sweets from the sweetest (my tablemates!) bloggers I know, we bought home a lot of Fly Ace Corp products… which I made into a yummy and creamy carbonara:

Masarap yan, promise..

So thank you Lani (MBP founder) for making my Carbonara possible, errr the Halloween Party possible.. Kudos to the commitee and  congrats to all of you!!! Christmas Party na???

Malling Made Easy With Robinsons Malls Mobile App

We were at the mall last Thursday.. Robinsons Galleria to be exact..and after I posted our “The Face Shop” moment.. I realized that we really are malling!

MALLING. I made it sound like a big deal no? IT IS!!!!! If you have 4 kids in tow.. malling is not a word.. but last Thursday, it was if the universe conspired to re introduce me to malling.

For one, the kids are growing up, specially my 2 boys. Now, I can count on them to look after the two younger kids. No more “habulan” moments!

Another thing, the introduction Robinsons Malls Mobile App to me, made it a lot easier.

Let me count the ways why malling is not easy with 4 kids:

1. Where’s the nearest bathroom?!?

And then I go running, asking every guard I see for the nearest bathroom! And with  3 kids who’s also running and another kid  screaming, “I can’t hold it anymore!!” phew!

2. Where’s that store again?

And then I walk with 4 kids in tow, looking for that particular store.. which happens to be just a few stores away from where I was  but the guard told other wise.. and walked and walked.. still with 4 kids in tow.. and walked..

Or when that particular store does not actually exist in that particular mall.. yes it happened to me once and it was crazy!

3. Where should we eat?

And if you’re a walking “mall” encyclopedia, that’s not really a problem. You can enumerate all the food establishment in a particular mall, their location, down to their menu and prices! But I AM NOT LIKE THAT! So with 4 kids in tow, I “look” for the perfect place to eat.. and ask for the direction and we walked.. and walked.. and walked..

So, how does Robinsons Malls Mobile app made it easier for me?? Let me count the ways…

1. Oh, there’s that bathroom!

 2. Oh! There’s that store!!

I was looking for Dasiso when we were in Galleria last Thursday.

3. Oh there’s Sbaroo here!

All these comes with a direction! Ang saya di ba? If you see a QR labels such as this:

Scan it and it will record your location and give you a direction to where you want to go. You can also put your location if you can’t find a QR label.. but that’s not likely to happen since it was strategically placed on posts around the mall. Even on parking!

Aside from my “dilemma solved” above, here are some other things that Robinsons Malls Mobile Apps can do:

  • It can direct you to the nearest Robinsons Malls in your location and give particular direction on how to go there.
  • Mall visitors can also record where they parked their vehicles, guided by QR labels.
  • Users can also purchase Robinsons Movieworld and snacks online.
  • Users can program the app to prompt them for upcoming events like concerts and mall-wide sales.
  • The 35,000-plus Robinsons Privilege Card holders can also access the app so they can be reacquainted with the privileges available to them, including a list of stores offering discounts and freebies.

And to introduce the new mobile apps, Robinsons Malls will hold a caravan in the activity area of Robinsons on October 25, Robinsons Magnolia on November 9 and Robinsons Place Manila on November 30

Mallers who download the new Robinsons Malls App will receive Welcome Deals with discount coupons provided by partner merchants and freebies from affiliates in their email. As a bonus, every app download and registration is automatically qualified for a selfie stick raffle to be held every month starting November 17.

The Robinsons Malls App is available for FREE at the iOS App Store (8MB file size for iOS 6.0 and higher) and Android Play Store (11MB file size for Android 4.0 and higher).
