Parentin TV: I Love My Family

Last February, Parentin TV invited its member to join I Love My Family Make-Overcontest. Husbands or their kids should write a letter to Parentin TV about their partner or mom and how they would their mom to transform. Three lucky moms were chosen. And during the I Love My Family event held in Podium, the winners were presented and transformed in front of us.

We, mommy bloggers, were just glad that Miss Tintin Bersola-Babao alloted a small space for us (in front syempre).. and even cheerfully posed with us:

The event was hosted with Anthony Taberna’s wife, Ms. Rosell Velasco-Taberna. Family and Parenting expert Ms Maribel Dionisio talked about relationship and how to maintain the love glow between husband and wife. Cordlife Philippines Dr Arvin Faundo educated us with the importance of saving the cord blood. Marriage experts Tibbs and Vangie Evalle treated us with an afternoon full of laughter as they relate their experiences as husband and wife and even advised us on handling relationship and different way to express our love.

The beautiful Ms. Crystal Henares, General Manager of Belo Essentials, talked about their products. Some members were able to take home Belo Essentials (eherm eherm). And to ake the event more interesting, there were a stage performance from Eureka Performance Arts and some old songs from The Rainmakers.

When I posted my article about 3 Important Things You Need To Know About Primary Complex (and other treatment tips), I have been receiving inquires. I am not an expert in the said field, but I will answer it based on my experience. Remember 3 of kids suffered from it.

Primary Complex Medicine Overdose?

What if for some reason, the mom gave the medicine twice in a day? I did it once.. or twice.. and it seems nothing happened to my kids. Blame to the anesthesia during my labor.. there are just days when I can’t seem to remember if I already gave them their dose or not.. better safe than sorry, I just had to give another one. BUT! If it happened more than twice, please do ask your Pediatrician about it.

Primary Complex is not contagious

but is there a chance that a child can be infected again? Yes. It can re occur, so the main treatment for primary complex involves knowing where your child got it. As much as possible, have the people around you be submitted to skin test and xray.

Primary Complex Medicine effect on Liver

Can it (the medicines used to treat Primary Complex) affect the liver? Rifampicin has been said to be safe to the liver.. though I have heard some news that Isoniozid can damage the liver. I still have to ask our Pediatrician and will keep you posted about it.

Signs of giftedness in a 5- to 8-year-old, Your child may be gifted if she:

Thinks abstractly; that is, she grasps advanced mathematical and linguistic concepts and can talk about such complex issues as ethics, morality, and religion.
Has a specific talent, such as the ability to perform mathematical calculations in her head, or understand concepts like multiplication before they are taught in school.
Is able to intensely concentrate and focus on one activity for long periods.
Has a large vocabulary and understands words not typically used by peers.
Is a leader; that is, often organizes group activities, such as initiating games when she’s with other children.
Is confident in her accomplishments and ideas.
Performs well in academic areas.
Is creative; that is, she loves to tell stories, draw, or compose songs.
Has a sense of humor and appreciates wit.
Prefers to spend time with older children and adults.
Performs academic work that is two years ahead of her grade level.
Is sensitive to other people’s feelings.
Memorizes facts easily and can recall them and relate them at appropriate times.
