Creating Links While Commenting

This is just being OC and all… if offended.. please hit the x button..I just noticed that a lot of you are not aware that you can build back links while you comment here on on any other blog. How is that possible? Well by leaving a link on your comment. The next time you tell me, you have a new post that is interesting or you want me to check out your entry in our favorite memes, you can try it by leaving here a text (clickable) that is linked to your post. I noticed that most just leave a plain text with the http.. etc..

It’s not doing you any good.. this is an example OK..If a new blogger chanced upon an awesome site and commented saying:
Hey this site is so cool, you might want to check out my post about this subject matter too:
http://socool.blogspot.com/2009/07/check-out-my-site.html

What will the blog owner do? Most likely than not, he would ignore it.. why? who would wanna copy the http, open a tab and paste it? that’s a lot of work eh? What if another blogger chanced upon the awesome site and saw the comment of the socool blogger? Would he have the patience to copy and paste it in another tab? I guess not?

But of course here in my blog, however long your http codes, I am more than willing to open a new tab/s and copy paste your link… but you can make our world a lot simpler and yours a lot better and more back links..

How to? Put an anchor text instead of a plain text…

The anchor text, link label or link title is the visible, clickable text in a hyperlink.(source)

(Hypertext REFerence) The HTML code used to create a link to another page. The HREF is an attribute of the anchor tag, which is also used to identify sections within a document. The HREF contains two components: the URL, which is the actual link, and the clickable text that appears on the page, called the “anchor text.”
(source)

How to make one? You have to make a code that starts with href… etc.. ugh! Honestly, even if I am using it for more than 6 months now, I still can’t remember how to make an anchor text, but we can always cheat right? Here’s what I did.. I open my create new post tab, typed in a word, usually the title of my blog, Make or Break.. create a link by clicking the cutey green round on my post dashboard, and typed in the blog address of my blog.. then I clicked on the edit html and copy it in a notepad or somewhere else… It looks like this:

Make or Break

Whenever you want to brag about your post, you just change the url and put the url of your post.. so if I want to comment on you and tell you about my take on Siblings Rivalry.. here it is on its bare html code:

How to Handle Siblings Rivalry
clickable text: How to Handle Siblings Rivalry

So for the sake of comparison, tell me which one is less of a hassle to click?

The Kids Are Dreaming

They say that when a bay smiles while he is asleep, it means that he is dreaming or being played by his angle. The angle part, I dunno but the dreaming part, maybe yes. Scientifically, when a new born smiles, it is just a gas passing out of his mouth.

Have you ever wonder if your kids are really dreaming or if they knew they are dreaming and if they can comprehend what is happening after they close their eyes?

I do and I observed my kids. As you know I have three subjects that I can closely observe and enough to make my own theory. From my experiences with my kids I learned that kids do have dreams. They dream but only in a certain age when they become aware of it, only a certain age when they can separate it from reality. Given a lot of practice and a lot of encouragement from you, time will come that they can relate it to you clearly.

When I had my first born, there was a time when in the middle of the night he would scream and kick and no amount of soothing can make him stop. It took more or less a year before he overcomes that. From time to time I would ask him why he would suddenly scream or cry and he can’t even remember that he cried. It took us a lot of nights and a lot of encouragement and questioning before he finally realized what is happening. It was very apparent that he was dreaming; only he can’t separate his dreams from reality. So finally when he recognized the difference of his dream from the real world, another struggle comes to life. It is how to encourage him to remember his dreams. For a time, we were not successful but now he can actually tell his dreams in full details.

I came to a conclusion (about the dream pattern) when Mico was in that screaming and kicking stage too. At age 3 they become aware of the dream and yet they cannot separate it from reality. They perceived their dreams as a real life experience and yet they are still too young to remember about it when they wake up. Turning 4, little by little, they understood what dream is all about. Life would be much much easier if parents would help them in understanding their dreams. Around 4 they are now in full control of their sleeping pattern (thanks to you mom and dad). Dreams no longer bother them but still unable to relate it to you clearly. At the age of 5, this is the time when they would endlessly talk about their dream in full animation.

So Mommy and Daddy what we need to do during the difficult stage of our baby?
Don’t think of yourself less when there will come a time that o amount of soothing can make them stop.
Don’t scream at them during these nights, no matter how tired you are, they are not aware of what is happening to them.
Talk to them, discuss about it, make them try to remember it but not force them to.

Chico’s still not experiencing this stage but I can say I can handle him now with ease, thanks to my two guinea pigs.

The Main Attraction

Again from our recent trip in Rainforest Pasig.. this is the main attraction guys.. beware!

We had so much laugh on dot number 9, it says: pagpasok ng lasing sa alak sa loob ng park.. I know it means that a person who is drunk from alcohol should not enter the park, but hey if your mind is as maliscious as ours, you would think it’s the other way around.. ang lasing papasok sa loob ng alak habang nasa parke. wahaha

And this one.. wala na akong masabi..
