If it's about me, it's in here.

Home Town is ❤

Long weekend.. and the weather says it’s summer! A great time to hit the beach (or a resort) and spend it with family..

and while I was searching for a good travel deals online, I realized, why not my hometown? There’s a really nice resort there, and it’s a good time to visit my grandmother…

Friday afternoon and we’re heading north!

SCTEX is the fastest route, but opted for Maharlika Highway, because of this:

Baliwag stop over for Balot and Hotdog! It’s been a while.. it’s been 2 years since our last visit.

The next day, we prepared for a day of fun, fun, fun. Swimming day at Hunter Valley!

Sunday, we went to visit my grandmother at Talavera. The kids had fun running around and we went home with a few additional plants for my garden!

Of course Talavera visit is not complete without Pastillas (will have this on a separate post):

We went home with a full stomach and heavy but happy heart! The ride back home was long and hubby’s back was aching, had to watch a few  massage training videos, to treat my hubby. I was tired from that weekend too.. but seeing the kids with a happy smile, that weekend was worth it.. bitin nga lang!

The Suki Planner (Mercury Drug Suki Daybook 2013)

because I am a suki.. I got this from Mercury Drugstore:

It was only recently that I got really serious with this suki card thing. In fact, the past few days, I even buy our toiletries there.. if Mercury has toys or musical equipment  I think I will buy from them too, for the sake of gaining more suki points (but we know we can only buy sonare flute from guitar center). Sometimes I feel like we were not just suki, feeling ko stock holder na kame! What, with the amount I spend at the drugstore for vitamins alone, you’d be surprised! Multivitamins for us as well as Vitamin C, and when kids are sick, the amount is doubled. Kaloka lang mga teh!

But yeah, thank goodness for loyalty programs such as the suki card.. now I have a really nice planner that I can use. The planner is simple and writable.. you know what I mean? It’s not too pretty that you’d end up NOT using it. Yes, like the one from Starbucks, my 2012 planners ends up somewhere in my box of loots. It is so pretty eh, i don’t have the heart to use it!

Another thing I like about the Suki planner is this:

Oh yeah! discounts overload! And discounts for most of the products I use (meron din discount for Aqiva milk! yay!)

You can have your own  Suki planner (Suki Daybook) for 30 suki points and Mercury ball pen for 1 point (maximum of 3 pens a day). I am not sure with the suki planner if we can have more than one. But who needs more than one planner?

I am not into loyalty programs.. I don’t even have an advantage card! pero now, I am a convert hahaha teka nga makatakbo sa SM at makakuha ng advantage card.

What’s Inside The GlamourBox?

Let’s take a peak, shall we?

very neat packaging.. that opens to this:

That’s a lot of beauty products in one box! November Glamourbox subscribers got this much content in a box..

How does Glamourbox works?

How much is the subscription fee?

The cost of the Glamourbox is Php 595 each month. There are no shipping and handling charges.

What payment method they accept?

Glamourbox accept payment with PayPal, Visa and Mastercard as well as bank deposit.

This is a monthly subscription, so if you would subscribe monthly, you’ll receive a Glamourbox monthly, contents of the box is a surprise every month! You can choose a monthly plan or quarterly plan and you even buy subscription as a gift.

And I know you’re itching to ask.. is the box worth the subscription fee?

Let’s do some math, shall we?

The box contains the following products:

  • Eyes of Horus Mascara in full size (Php 1290)
  • Shisheido WrinkleResist24 Night Emulsion 15 ml (full size is 75 ml, Php 3250)
  • Yves Rocher Slimming Concentrate 30 ml (full size is 150 ml at Php 1190)
  • Ofra Cosmetics Lisptick Palette full size (Php 1050)
  • Calvin Klein Eternity Aqua 1.2 ml (full size is 100 ml, Php 5098)
  • Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste 1.5 ml (full size is 65 ml, Php 5080)
Bonus contents:
  • Bvlgari Man 1.5 ml ( full size is 100 ml at Php 5298)
  • Burberry Sport 1.2 ml (full size 75 ml, Php 4898)
  • Yves Rocher gift card worth 200 Php

A simple arithmetic would say that the box is worth more than 5000 Php! That’s 10x the subscription fee.. so that answers your question, yes ladies it’s worth it!

Of course the experience of having to try new products is more than enough already. For me, I love the perfume samples, as I got to try and wear it before deciding to buy. Product information and how to purchase the products can be found at Glamourbox website.

.. and you know the make up junkie in me was so delighted to see  2 make up products inside my Glamourbox.

December subscription is now closed (sayang haha).. so be ready when January subscription opens up!
