Althea Korea Big Beauty Blowout Haul

If it is Korean Skin Care, I’m in! And if it’s Korean Skin Care sale from Althea, SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

So here’s my haul from that sale along with how I plan to use it and how much I saved from it.

That much products is 2 small Althea boxes plus 1 big Althea box. Total cost is 6040 Peso from 10990. Here’s the breakdown:

The Caolion set I am supposed to use kasooo I finally found a supplier for a brand that I have been dying to try. My skin no longer fits the age bracket of Laneige. I am old. And my skin requires ~~mas mahal~~ mas moisturize na products. Initially, I was eyeing Laneige Perfect Renew line but it was always out of stock at Althea. I decided taking my chance on Sulwahsoo because from what I’ve heard, this is the most appropriate for my age. Pero why not other brands?!? Eh bakit ba, loyal ako sa Amore Pacific, that’s the company behind Etude, Laneige, Sulwahsoo, and a lot more Korean Skin Care and Korean Make Up brands we know. So that’s the reason why I am giving away a complete set of Caolion.

The other brand, The Saem is for the Mister. He was also using Laneige pero ang hirap din humanap ng supplier! So when I saw this at Althea at nakasale naman sya, bumili na ako ng isang set. I am a sucker for sets. Ganyan talaga ako. I just can’t use other brands along with other brands. It’s my OCD talking. Pero pag naubos itong set na ito.. I might buy Sulwahsoo for him.. para terno na talaga kame. My OCD self will be happy!

Must Buy Make Up For Beginners

When I first learned about make up, I was overwhelmed! So many choices, so little money, so ugly face haha. I know nothing anything about make-up and skin care, tones and the likes. I wish Make Up for Beginners workshop is already a thing back then, wala sana ako masyadong naaksayang pera from buying too much products. Swerte nyo because, this kind of workshop is now a thing and it’s very affordable. Before I start the list, let me just remind you that before applying make up, your face should be clean and well moisturized.

Make Up Primer. You will need two types of primer, one for the face and one for the eyes (which also works for the eyebrow). Why will you need a primer? It will make everything last longer. Eyebrow will stay on fleek for the whole day.

Foundation. Sai Montes Makeup Artistry Basic Personal Makeup Workshop will discuss how to find the right foundation for you. If you are going to attend the workshop, I suggest skipping buying this. If your face is acidic, go 1-2 lighter shade. Personally, I prefer BB cushion than foundation.

Loose Powder. This is a must, specially if you have oily skin. And you always have to bring one whenever you go. Oiliness (and dry skin) is next to ugliness, always remember that!

Eyebrow Make Up Kit. Everything is all about the eyebrows, it can make or break your look. What eyebrow make up brand to buy? I love Maybelline Fashion Brow Palette. It’s very cheap and it lasts really long (it’s been a year since I bought mine).

Mascara and eyeliner. These two must go together, all the time and specially if you have thin eyelashes or small eyes. If you will attend Sai Montes Makeup Artistry Basic Personal Makeup Workshop, she will teach you how to apply both and also how to apply false eyelashes.

Eyeshadow Palette. This is a must to enhance your eyes. And though I have no product recommendation, what I can tell you is stay away from eyeshadow with shimmer, not a good idea!

Lipstick. I suggest buying 3 shades, Nude, Pink and Red. Also, buy matte and not the one with shine. Why? With matte lipsticks, it’s like having two kinds, you can go matte as is. If you want shine, just apply lip gloss on top of it.

Make Up Remover. Yup, this is also a Must Buy Make Up For Beginners. Always remove your make up using a make up remover to ensure that all make up particles are removed from your face. Never ever skip this part because dirty face can lead to pimples.

Don’t spend too much on make-up ha, spend on your skin care routine. If your skin is really good, you won’t even need a foundation.

Should you buy make up brushes or not? You don’t have to for now. Most products that needs brush to be applied already included a brush for application.
