Here’s a press release I found from the internet:

Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schönberg’s legendary musical LES MISERABLES will launch its Asian tour in Manila in March 2016 with tickets going on sale on Tuesday, 29 September.

“I welcome the new production of LES MISERABLES to Manila for the first time, and I’m certain that Filipino audiences will be thrilled to see this much-loved and celebrated show at The Theatre at Solaire. Home to two of the musical’s leading ladies, in the role of Fantine, Tony Award-winning star Lea Salonga and Rachelle Ann Go, Manila’s run of LES MISERABLES is presented by SMART Infinity,” announced by Bambi Rivera-Verzo, President of Concertus Manila.

Cameron Mackintosh is thrilled to bring the production to Manila, having celebrated triumphant performances in Melbourne, Perth and currently playing in Sydney.

“Having created my new production over five years ago to celebrate the 25th anniversary of LES MISERABLES, I’m both thrilled and astonished that the very differently designed, new production of this musical has proved just as successful all over the world as the original production that is about to celebrate its 30th anniversary in London–the only place in the world that you can still see the original production. The new production is currently in its second year on Broadway, having broken box office records across America and in Canada for over three years, with separate companies in Japan, Korea, Spain and currently a huge success in Australia sweeping all the top awards,” Cameron Mackintosh said.

He added, “After its Sydney and Brisbane run, I’m delighted to be bringing this new version to Manila in March, with a wonderful cast that include the current London star playing Fantine, acclaimed Philippine actress Rachelle Ann Go–who received enormous acclaim when I took her to London to appear as ‘Gigi’ in my hugely successful new production of ‘Miss Saigon’. Over the last 25 years I have had a wonderfully rewarding relationship with Filipino talent, introducing the best of them to audiences around the world–so I’m thrilled that this time one of my productions can be seen in its full splendor in Manila.”

Joining Rachelle Ann, following his recent Australian Helpmann Award win as the iconic ‘Jean Valjean‘ is Simon Gleeson. Valjean’s lifelong antagonist ‘Javert’ will be played by Earl Carpenter, direct from his performance of the role in the Broadway company of LES MISERABLES. One of the world’s greatest musicals, this new production of the much-loved blockbuster features glorious modernised staging, orchestrations and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo. This new version of LES MISERABLES is not to be missed.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century revolutionary France, LES MISERABLES is a much loved blockbuster musical which has been seen by over 70 million people worldwide in 42 countries and in 22 languages, LES MISERABLES is undisputedly one of the most popular musicals of all time. Having won more than 100 major awards around the world, it has been hailed as the most stirring, moving musical ever. Based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel, it is an epic and uplifting story about the survival of the human spirit. The magnificent score of LES MISERABLES includes the classic songs “I Dreamed a Dream“, “On My Own“, “Stars“, “Bring Him Home“, “Do You Hear the People Sing?“, “One Day More“, “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables“, “Master of the House” and many more.

SMART Infinity members and Visa cardholders could be among the first to watch LES MISERABLES when the musical phenomenon hits Philippine shores for its limited run early next year. Smart Infinity members are offered first dibs to ticket-purchasing and discount offers from September 29 to October 29, 2015. Each subscription to Smart Infinity Plan 5000 or Plan 8000 entitles the member to two (2) VIP orchestra tickets, a Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and PAL Mabuhay Miles complete with the free download of the entire soundtrack of LES MISERABLES via Spinnr. Existing members also enjoy priority booking and a 10 percent discount on all LES MISERABLES tickets purchased within the said period.

Cheaper By The Half Dozen

When we learned about this pregnancy, I was shocked. It’s not a mixed feelings, it’s really shock and nothing on excitement. I wish I could say it was just a few minutes of selfishness but it was not. It lasted quite a long time before the shock turns into excitement. Having a lot of kids is not that easy and then another one? Oh no no no no…

However,  I realized that this is such a huge blessing! Not just the fact that we were able to produce another human being but also because this baby came at the right time. We’re moving to our new house and our finances are doing good. As compared to when we had my other kids, those were difficult, but now, life is easier! There is no more reason to be afraid.

And as the husband puts it, we can always find ways for “our time” even with a new baby.

But still, a part of me is is having a hard time accepting it… I just don’t know if I can still give that much love to another baby.. specially after Sati. She’s our only girl and I couldn’t deny the fact that I am so in love with this princess. I am just do not know if I can love this coming baby as much as I love her…

Of course, my kids are all excited! Sati really loves the idea of her being a big sister and she loves it when we call her “ate”. So I accepted my new baby wholeheartedly with a promise of loving her/him the same way I love ate and the kuyas.

But God has a way of getting the best out of me. Seeing how easy motherhood was for me and knowing I can very well take care of my kids.. He gave us not just one, but two babies!

We’re having TWINS!

To say we’re excited is understatement! Sobrang nakakakilig itoooo!! God really knows what we need.. and though it would be very challenging for us, we’re ready to face it with His guidance.

I started writing this blog post a month ago… and while I wait for my first trimester to end before publishing this blog post, we learned that the other baby vanished… the condition I experienced is called Vanishing Twin Syndrome. If want to know more about VTS, please read my blog post about it: Vanishing Twin Syndrome is True And I Experienced It

Dear Manong Taxi… (On Attending Events Without Payment)

Gusto ko sana sabihin kay Manong.. may bayad mo pa yan.. FRIENDSHIP

But I don’t think he’ll ever understand  how I love attending events without thinking about the monetary value that I would get (not unless from the start, it is  stated as a paid coverage). When I was just starting.. nakaka excite to receive goodies, to the point that I value it more than the event na itself. I judge an event based on the loots I got.. Pero as I grow older as a blogger, I have learned to value relationship over loot bags.

Truth of the matter is, when I attend an event, I spend around 2000 PhP. That’s for taxi fare, pasalubong and my mom’s fare din since lumuluwas siya to look after my kids. Ang mahal mag events di ba? But I do it for fun talaga and for friendship.. to meet friends, to be with friends or to support friends from the agency.

So yes, as you can see, ma friendship akong tao, related story: 3 Reasons Why I Post Press Releases For FREE

Pero I don’t advocate attending events for free ha, always know your worth as a blogger. Dapat lagi kang may gain. Ako kase, I may not gain financially from attending events but I gained relationships and minsan content na rin. And yeah, there is something about getting the first dibs on products you love. And oh! Endless chikas with fellow mommy bloggers! Ang saya di ba?
