I Am Back!

Oh yeah after almost a week without Internet connection, I’m back (and with a vengeance, haha). Kidding aside, I am so overwhelmed with the things I have/need to do. I don’t know where to start. I need to make more paid post so I can achieve my $1000 target before June ends (not even half on it). So if you have a dollar or hundred to spare, would gladly accept donations. LOL It’s for a good cause, trust me. I am so happy to be back and just discovered that my blog is now PR3 woohoo!

Blogging aside, my past week has been very fruitful. I have so many things to thank for. Well for a starter, I think it was a blessing in disguise that my helper decided to leave us. Since I am pregnant again, my OB advised me to stop breastfeeding. It could have been harder for both of us (Chico and Mommy) if there is a helper around. For a time then or during the time we have a helper, our only bonding time is feeding time. Last week when I started weaning him, it’s just Mommy and the kids. I spent more time with time and less on the internet. Weaning was easier because of that. I am somewhat confident that he is not taking it against me or that he would think I love him less because Mommy is weaning him. We really spend a lot of time bonding, eating (not feeding, eating solid foods), tickling and all. I also developed a certain discipline for myself in terms of blogging. Chico learned, again, that his tears won’t get him out of his crib. He is also now walking by himself! Having a helper around (or nanny) seems to weaken my Chico, emotionally and physically. I know it was my fault because I let him be with the nanny most of the time. It’s making up time..LOL

But you know, you can’t have all the good things in life, right? Oh well, since we don’t have a helper, I was not able to attend the Philippine Fashion Week (Holiday ’09). I have two invites and I am just here! That is really sad.. hmm.. maybe next year.

So back to blogging and earning online, I need more moolah for my paypal!!!

Pochero My Way

My hubby has been bugging me to prepare pochero for him. I am no good on following instructions specially recipes. I am quite used to hand me downs recipe where measurement is always to taste (tantyahan ba). To give in to his whims, I brave the net and look for pochero recipes. I found some and revised my own recipe. Here it is:

Ingredients:
(keep in my mind that this recipe is for half kilo of pork, if you have less eaters, you can trim down the ingredients that would suit 1/4 kilo of pork, and if you have the whole neighborhood to feed, just adjust the ingredients, math baby, just ratio and proportions)

  • Pork cubes (half kilo)
  • Banana (saba) about 3 pieces or more if you like, cut it in three (slanting) or whatever as long as you can eat it
  • Pechay 5 to 10 stalks (in our case isang tali)
  • Cabbage, medium size, cut into 4 parts
  • string beans, about 10 or more stalks (cut into two)
  • Potatoes, 2 medium size, cut into 4 parts each
  • Onion springs, 5 stalks 9or isang tali)
  • 2 small onions, one sliced, the other one cut into 4
  • garlic, 2 cloves, crushed
  • peppercorn (about a teaspoon or less)
  • optional: green peas, garbanzos, pork and beans (about half cup or more if you like)
  • tomato sauce about 200 grams (or one small del monte pack)
  • about 2 tablespoon fish salt or patis
  •

Preparations:

  1. Boil the pork cubes until tender, then add the onions (the one cut into 4 parts), add peppercorn and spring onions. Let it boil for another 5 minutes
  2. Meanwhile, fry the potato and banana, whichever way you like, you can first fry the banana then the potato or vice versa, it doesn’t matter that much.
  3. While doing so, add the veggies (cabbage first then string beans and after a while the pechay) to the pork.
  4. After frying the banana and the potato, reduce oil then saute garlic and onion and fish salt. Add the pork and the tomato sauce.
  5. When the veggies change color or when it becomes more vibrant, remove it form the pot.
  6. Cover the pork and reduce heat (very low), leave it for about 5 minutes (go check your blog or mine for updates).
  7. After commenting on my blog, put the optional ingredients, you can have it all or just one or two.. as for me, I always put pork and beans for the kids (sweeter twist). Then add the potato and banana, add some water ( preferably from the pot where you tenderized the pork, about a cup). Let it boil.
  8. Add the veggies and serve with steaming rice. YUM!

I am also no good on passing down recipe so in case you tried it tell me if it’s easy to follow 🙂
Happy eating!

Sky Broadband

Are you all wondering what happened to me? Why on Earth I am not updating this blog or approving comments? Aside from my slooow GLOBELINES connection, Chico does not like it when I am in front of the computer. Next week I will buy a key board for him and we’ll see. As for the SLOW GLOBELINES connection I am experiencing, according to them they are having a system restoration. They don’t need a system restoration, they need to CHANGE their system. I heard that they also decreased the speed on P to P connection, whatever that means, to me the word decreased is not a good thing..

CAN somebody tell GLOBELINES to give me a good connection? I need it badly so I can search for Sky Cable’s Internet services.

Are we qualified for this? what’s the catch?

But on lighter note, I really have to thank the SLOW connection of GLOBELINES. Since I can’t do online stuffs while Chico is sleeping, I look for other things I can do. Yes, I was able to do the dishes, which has been sitting on the sink for days now. Do the laundry, which is higher than me, was able to fold some. I am very keen on folding our clothes. I have my own folding style that when I had a helper I told folding is not part of her job. Though she still insists on folding our clothes, I had to refold it as always. if you really are wondering how my folding style go, well just go the nearest mall and look for your favorite boutiques. Look at how neatly their stuffs are displayed and folded. Yep guys, that’s how neat our closet is (sometimes). That’s how I like my clothes to be folded, aligned and in very straight manner (that’s OC pehpot talking). Lastly thank you so much GLOBELINES for your impertinent connection, my chances of earning more (to give to my mom) are slim.
