MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up Experience

Health is Wealth. That’s one of the values that I am trying to teach my kids. Be healthy, stay healthy and focus on improving your health. Every day, I tell them to drink water because it can boost their immune system and that PREVENTION is always, always better than cure. We’re slowly getting there, with kids, consistency is the key. MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up

Even here in my blog, one of the topics that I write passionately is anything related to Health (and Science in general). I love sharing information, specially if it concerns health. I have no medical background but as I have mentioned, pag usapang health, I am very serious about that.

MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up

I’m very proud to announce that I was chosen as one of MyHealth Clinic’s Ambassador. I am really glad that My Health saw how I use this blog to advocate health and wellness for the whole family. And I am very thankful that they offered me this partnership. As part of that partnership, I am to undergo and expereince MyHealth Clinic’s Executive Check Up. To which I agreed, because you know me, I don’t post anything that I haven’t tried.

MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up Experience

This is my first time to have an executive check up so I really have no idea what to expect. A day before my check up, I was advised to go fasting for 8 hours. I was scheduled for MyHealth Clinic’s PRIME Check Executive Check-Up Package (minus the hotel) and it includes ultrasound and blood tests that needs fasting.

Am I excited for my MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up? Syempre naman! Not just because this is my first time but syempre I want to know ang lagay lagay ng mga organs ko. I want to know where I am on the “Health” scale.

My schedule was 10 AM and I am OK with it since I usually sleep and eat late. First impression:MyHealth Clinic serves a lot of people but the atmosphere inside the clinic is not busy. Mukhang mababait and very accommodating ang mga staff.

Executive Check-Up Experience At My Health Shangri-La

My first stop was at the Nurse Station where my vitals were taken (color blindness test, BP, heart rate, height, and weight). I was also given the details of my check up and a breakfast voucher from Dome Cafe (woohoo!!).

I was escorted to the executive lounge (which is the holding area for patients undergoing executive check up) to wait for the next step. The room was not that big but comfortable enough and coffee is free (at may TV).

Blood extraction was next for the following tests:

  • CBC (Complete Blood Count)
  • Blood Uric Acid (BUA)
  • Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)
  • Creatinine
  • Lipid Profile
  • Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
  • SGPT (serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase)
  • TSH (for thyroid)
  • Hepatitis B Screening (HbsAg)
  • FT4 (ECLA) (for thyroid)
  • HBA1C (to check diabetes)

I never really liked needles and I have very low pain tolerance, mabuti na lang the nurse who took my blood, magaan ang kamay nya. I never even felt the needle on my skin. I was given two cups for stool and urine specimen.

Here comes whole abdomen ultrasound (on an empty stomach) and after this, makaka breakfast na ako! Pero this was also the part na medyo tumagal. Judging from the photos on my phone, this procedure took 45 minutes. BAKIT MATAGAL? The whole abdomen ultrasound checks on all the organs located at that part of the body. Eto eto ang mga na check during the ultrasound:

  •  Liver
  • Pancreas
  • Spleen
  • Gall Bladder
  • Kidneys
  • Urinary Bladder

Napagatal yata lalo because of my layers and layers of fatsss! OA sa dami haha

The breakfast voucher from Dome Cafe is around 300-400 Pesos worth of breakfast (I forgot the exact) but it does not include coffee (sana pala nagbaon ako from the lounge hehe). How was the taste? Well, the 10 hour fasting was worth it. Ang sarap ng tapa, feels like I’m in Tagaytay.

Chest xray comes next and then thyroid ultrasound. Breast ultrasound comes next but I opted to have it another day because I am not comfortable exposing my breast to a male doctor. And I learned that it is OK to say no to that. If you are not comfortable, it’s OK, hindi siya nakakahiya.

 MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up

Say hello to Nurse Maine! Joke lang! But she really looks like Maine Mendoza di ba? Medyo kaboses din and very light kausap.. which made the 2D Echo with Doppler and 12 Lead Electrocardiogram exam a lot better. The results, I still have to wait but judging from the sound coming from the doppler, my heart seems OK (SANA NGA!).

Almost done!! This is 2nd to the last from the list (except for the breast ultrasound which I have to come back the next day). Nag ready ako for this test, naka pang takbo outfit talaga ako. So if you’re planning to get MyHealth Clinic Executive Check Up, that’s one thing you need to remember: wear comfortable clothes and wear running/sports shoes.

Nasubukan ko na ito before eh (Clium days) and I do not like this test. Not because I do not like running but because I have to remove my bra. For a 38D person, it’s super challenging to run without bra 🙁 But Nurse “Maine” was very attentive to details like that, she made me wore a support for my breast. Huhuhu sobrang touch ako!

Last check up for the day is the physical exam plus papsmear. Hindi na ako nag pa papsmear since I just had my papsmear a few weeks ago. I was out of the clinic by 4 PM.

I was able to come back for the breast ultrasound 3 days later. Busy ang lola nyo eh and also since ultrasound lang naman, nag antay din ako ng kasabay na event para hindi sayang ang paglabas ko.

The breast ultrasound took less than 30 minutes lang and according to the Doctor who did it, both my breast is OK. Now, I just have to wait for the results of my PRIME Check Executive Check-Up. The result will take 5-10 days because all the tests will be consolidated and will be read medically as a whole. I will keep you posted! At sana ok lahat!

MyHealth Clinic’s PRIME Check Executive Check-Up Package and Price

4 Ways to Keep Your Home Clean of Dirt and Allergens

A home is supposed to be one a haven for its occupants. It should present not just a relaxing, but a safe place for everyone who lives there.

It would be a shame if your home is the culprit of you getting sick because of all the allergens in the air. Indoor pollution is a serious thing. In fact, there are reports that indicate that pollution hazards inside the home can be equally and even more dangerous than the air pollution found outside.

Dirt and pollutants can be the cause of many sickness, including respiratory complications. To make sure that your family is safe, here are things you can do so that your home will be free from dirt and allergens.

1. Vacuum or dust your house frequently – cleaning the house regularly is the number one way to get rid of dust and allergens. Make sure that when you dust around the house, you should be using a damp cloth because dry ones just release all that dust into the air. Use cleaning supplies products help to keep your room fresh, clean, and healthy, use cleaning tools to speed up the task of cleaning, avail deals by using Staples UK discount codes.Vacuuming should be done twice a week, and you need to make sure that your vacuum has a HEPA filter so that it can trap even the smallest allergen around your house.

2. Use environmentally friendly cleaning products – many people do not realize the cleaning products they use has a lot of harsh chemicals that may someone’s allergy. Go green when purchasing your cleaners and pick the ones that do not have harsh chemicals. Choose fragrance-free products, or even better use simple household products to clean. If you do your research, you’ll find that you can use vinegar, lemon, and even baking soda to clean your house without triggering any allergies.

3. Wash and replace beddings regularly – by regularly, this means weekly. Beds are one of the areas that collect a lot of dust. Beds are also where dust mites thrive, so you need to wash them in hot water and dry them in a hot dryer to ensure that all dust mites will be killed. It would also be best to just use the dryer and not air dry them outside because they can catch pollen and mold there. For beddings that should be dry cleaned, you don’t need to actually dry clean them weekly. You can just bring them outside e and shake off the dust and skin flakes that shed there. But if you really want them dust and allergen free, the best thing to do is to wash them weekly.

4. Have your air duct cleaned regularly – your HVAC unit is another place where dust and allergen can accumulate, so you need to make sure that it is always clean. While you can do simple cleaning from time to time, the best decision is to still get the services of a professional. They have the right equipment and can do the work efficiently. For those in Aurora, Colorado, here’s a company that specializes in air duct cleaning aurora co. Check them out and get your air duct cleaned regularly.

Honest Bee Philippines Review

Because it’s raining cats&dogs lately and going to the grocery is becoming more challenging, I decided to give Honest Bee Philippines a try. This is a short Honest Bee Philippines Review plus some tips on how to make this one work, even though your location is not yet included on their list.

RELATED CONTENT: 5 Basic Grocery Shopping Tipid Tips

Honest Bee Philippines Review

First step: Sign up at Honest Bee Philippines under my account (sayang referral fee mga beshies, pang Pampers na ni Marius yan, wag nyo na ipagkait sa akin.) Click the image above or click this link. Opo. ako si Pilipinas. Opo.

Of course I also signed up using someone’s link.

Step #2. Give your address.

Honest Bee Philippines Review

Ganyan din nakuha ko na message when I put my address. The trick is, use a different one.

May time and date naman ng delivery so maabangan mo yan. Maki kape ka na din kila mars.

And that’s the best thing I can say about Honest Bee. Walang delay!

Step 3. Start Ordering

I got excited. Parang gusto ko i cart lahat doon. Pero wais misis ito. I have a list of our monthly grocery items.

Of course, hindi ko naman lahat yung bibilhin in one go. The goal is to but at least 2000 pesos worth of grocery to avail the 500 off and also free delivery.

Step 4. Use your coupon on check out.

If you’re not very conscious, hindi mo mapapansin ito. Now that I blog about it, alam mo na, click the USE A COUPON FROM YOUR WALLET part.

Honest Bee Philippines Review

Use/ APPLY the coupon to get your discount.

ALWAYS CHOOSE COD when paying.

Step 5. Choose the date and time of delivery and wait.

Delivery is very prompt. Expect a call during that time. Sometimes the shopper would call kase out of stock ang product.

Also, if you did not put the exact address, expect the call from the rider. Sunduin nyo na lang where you pinned your address. That’s what I did.

Honest Bee Philippines Review

My shopper called me when two of the products I ordered were out of stock. The out of stock items were deducted from my total bill.

This was the 2nd time I ordered from Honest Bee and definitely not the last one. I enjoyed how hassle free it was. The first time I ordered, the slot I got for delivery is 5 days from the day I ordered. Ok lang naman since the products I ordered are for stocks only and not for immediate use.

Would I recommend Honest Bee Philippines? DEFINITELY! (plus 500 OFF because you signed up on my link haha)
