And here’s my fair share of DIY Halloween costumes:

DIY Angel Costume

Out of the 5 costumes I made for Sati this October (I did that? what?!?) this DIY angel costume was the easiest. The wings, I was planning to DIY it too but Mommy Chai just lend a pair of wings to me.

Her top is an undershirt, a few sizes bigger than her. I sewed frosted illusion tule for the sleeves. I also use the same fabric for the tutu. As usual, the tutu was a no sew one. How to make no sew tutu? Check out my blog post>>> How to make a no sew tutu for little girls.

Wonder Woman Costume For Kids

This is the costume that won her the best costume from the Shakey’s Party we attended a few weeks ago. And this is the hardest I made! Everything was hand sewn on that costume!!!

Elsa Costume For Kids

This Elsa costume needs more polishing..but it’s really easy to make as long as you got the right fabric. I bought mine from Taytay, Rizal.

Tinkerbell Costume For Kids

This is the costume she wore during the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party. I enjoyed making this costume because I made it in less than an hour! And the shoes! It’s so tink!!

The last but not the least, this is the costume she wore for United Nations Parade:

From Elsa costume onwards, I already got a small sewing machine that helped me in making the costumes.

As you can see , I really enjoy making costumes!

Are you ready for the Halloween? What will be your kids’ costume this Halloween?

United Nations Costumes

A few more years from now, I will open a costume shop. I will sell United Nations costumes, Halloween costume or any costume one could think of.. I can even offer United Nations Costumes for rent, Halloween costumes for rent or even gowns for rent.

I am serious with that! With my DIY talent, why not di ba?

Last year , I made 4 United Nations costume. China Boy costume, Sweden boy costume, Miss China costume and Miss Germany costume.

This year, with United Nations parade getting closer (Friday na!!! waah), I am getting inspiration from these United Nations costumes from my mommy blogger friends:

Saudi Arabia costume from Mommy Levy. According to Mommy Levy, you can find National Costumes in Baclaran (usually at the back of Baclaran church, under the LRT rail).

United Nations Egypt Costume Boy and Japan Boy Costume from Mommy Jem of Experience of a Super Mommy. According to Mommy Jem, if you are looking for affordable United Nations costume, Quiapo is the place to go.

United Nations Costume stores in Quiapo is located at Palanca Street, near New Sin Kian Heng (where you can buy Kitchen Aide Artisan for 18,000 PhP). Stores selling United Nations costume is near Mayer Photo (where you can find the cheapest camera).

Mommy Michelle of Michi Photostory said, Argentina costume was easy but they had a hard time looking for hat. Argentinian hats are big right? Mahirap nga humanap ng ganun!

Mommy Ria of My Green Living Ideas got her daughter a Korean costume for Unitedn Nations.. waah I want one din for Sati!

Actually, Sati will be wearing Brazil, while Chico will be United Kingdom.. my older boys should wear an Asian country.. still thinking what..I need inspiration for their costume design and float design. Any ideas?

Buwan Ng Wika Costume: Igorot Princess

She’s my only girl! Sooo I won’t let her wear something as common as Baro’t Saya. No offense meant to our national costume but all the girls in the school would be wearing that.

I have two costumes in mind: Igorot princess or Muslim princess.

Muslim princess is an easy choice, we can always find Batik in Greenhills. We settled for Igorot princess though.. because my mother is very friendly, an Igorot gave her a G-string! Yay!!! You can’t easily find bahag or G-string and if you do, it’s very expensive! Princess Sati is one lucky princess!

I never had the chance to look for an Igorot hair dress so we used here Sassy Hairsies piece.. o di ba, it looks like a real flower!

Next year, we’ll have Muslim princess complete with Pearls!

Ang problema, paano next next year? I need more Buwan ng Wika Costume Ideas!!!!

Ay! Meron pa palang UN Parade sa October!! Ohnoes!
