Mommy Is Proud

Last March, a few days before the class end, the students who will be recognized for their performance was announced. It was only after the recognition day that I realized what my eldest son achieved. Last year, he graduated preparatory as their class 3rd honorable mention (in other words 5th). That’s from a class of less than 20+ students. This year, he was their class 2nd honorable mention. Now that’s one step up from being 5th last year. What made me more proud is the fact that this year, he was 4th from a class of 40+ students (2 sections). Now excuse me, I’m bragging.

And when I got his report card, we were surprised to see that he has no grades that is lower than 93. WOOT!!

As for my second child, though he was not included in the honor roll, it was a surprise to us that all his grades are beyond what we expected. His 4th grading exam was all about play since it was his birthday week.

Sati’s Shopping Money

The little girl knows where her stuff came from.. Whenever you asked her where the dress or the shoes came from, she would answer Nang or sometimes Ni. That’s her term for Ninang (godmother).

This little girl is so lucky to have fairy godmothers.. Fairy in terms of the look (eherm eherm) and also in showering her gifts.

She got so many shopping money (mas madami pa kesa sa akin! LOL) and she really enjoyed shopping for her clothes and receiving gifts from her ninangs.

The one she wearing on the photo, we bought from her shopping money. Yeah she really knows how to project and work that look LOL

But above her cuteness and posing, it’s heart warming to hear her utter words like Nang and Ni.. It’s just show that at that young age, she already knows how to appreciate the people who loves her. And she knows very well what clothes come from her Ninangs 🙂

Finding the Right Summer Camp

To find the right summer activities or summer camp for your child can be quite challenging. There are a lot of summer activities available and brochures are handed out to parents to inform them about what the summer camp has to offer. But there are important considerations to keep in mind when choosing the right summer camp for your child. You need to take note of the following before coming up with a decision:

  • Session duration, like how long will the summer camp take place
  • The programs included in the summer camp are also important because you are sending your child to summer camp to gain additional knowledge or enhance their talents or skills.
  • Summer camp facilities such as toilets, would this kind of facility be made easily accessible for your child? There are summer camps done in the woods, and it means your child should learn how to use outdoor toilets.
  • Price of the entire summer camp program is another important consideration. You need to know what are included in the summer camp so that you can do necessary adjustments in your budge

In finding out essential information about the summer camp, parents can check the camp publications; brochures are also available as well as videos. Most summer camps would also have their online services hence you can check for details about the program. You may also ask a parent whose child has participated in the particular summer camp program.

Aside from merely relying on what you read on the brochures or internet or depend on what others may say about the summer camp; you may want to check it out yourself together with your child. You can speak directly with the staff involved in the summer camp program, and then you can assess it from there. The people you have met on the summer camp are most like the same people that your child would interact with.
