Artificial Grass Deck Tile Review

I have been looking for artificial grass deck tile for our indoor playground. Swerte ko, I found some in a trading store in Taytay (The App Tradestore), unfortunately, kulang sya sa space ko. I decided to try out some artificial grass deck tiles I found on TikTok, priced at ₱61 per tile. While I was hoping for high-quality tiles, my experience revealed a few concerns you should be aware of.

A Closer Look at the Online Artificial Grass Deck Tile

The artificial grass deck tiles I ordered from TikTok’s Yellow Basket store had grass stapled onto a rubber base. Right off the bat, this raised a red flag for me. The fact that the grass was merely stapled onto the rubber is a major downside. During assembly, I pricked my fingers several times on the exposed staples, which were not securely fastened. Not only does this make the process of connecting the tiles difficult, but it also poses a safety risk.

In terms of grass appearance, the surface wasn’t too thin, which was a plus. However, the tiles didn’t align seamlessly when placed side by side. The noticeable gaps between the tiles made the overall look less appealing, especially when used as flooring. If you’re aiming for a smooth, seamless green surface, these tiles might not meet your expectations.

Assembly and Safety Concerns

One thing I appreciated was that these artificial grass deck tiles were easy to put together. However, the stapling issue mentioned earlier became a significant problem. The staples were not secure and easily lifted when the tiles were moved or stepped on, which could be dangerous, especially in areas where children play. Because of this, I do not recommend using these tiles in a playground or any space where safety is a concern.

Where Can Artificial Grass Deck Tiles Be Used?

After assembling and testing them, I quickly realized that these artificial grass deck tiles were not suitable for my deck. I ended up removing them and going back to my original wood tiles. That said, if you’re considering using these tiles for wall decor or in a low-traffic area, they could work. Just be cautious about the staples, as they can cause injuries if not properly secured.

Final Thoughts on Artificial Grass Deck Tile from TikTok

To wrap it up, my experience with these artificial grass deck tiles from TikTok was less than ideal. While the tiles are easy to assemble and the grass isn’t too thin, the fact that the grass is stapled to the rubber backing is a serious drawback. The staples not only made the tiles difficult to handle but also posed a safety risk. Additionally, the lack of a seamless appearance made them unsuitable for flooring, especially in high-traffic areas.

If you’re planning to use artificial grass deck tiles for decorative purposes, like on a wall, they might be fine. But for outdoor flooring, especially in areas where safety and durability matter, I would recommend looking for better alternatives.

Check for Usable Supplies: Before buying new items, check what school supplies you already have. You might find notebooks with unused pages, pens that still work, or even last year’s backpack that’s still in good condition. Even used pencils can still be use so save these pencils kahit maliit na lang.

DIY Projects: Get creative and personalize old items. Use stickers, patches, or fabric paint to give old backpacks or pencil cases a fresh, new look. It’s a fun activity to do with your kids, too!

Inspect school uniforms for any that still fit and are in good condition

Uniform and shoes Check: Inspect school uniforms for any that still fit and are in good condition. Minor repairs like sewing a button or fixing a hem can make old uniforms look brand new. Using laundry detergents specializing in making clothes look new or whiter can also be a good trick for old uniforms. For shoes, if it still fits, no need to buy a new one. Smooth Transition Tips for Back-to-School

Getting back into the school routine can be challenging, but with these tips, you’ll have a smoother transition:

Establish a Routine: Set a consistent sleep schedule and morning routine a few weeks before school starts. This helps kids adjust and makes mornings less chaotic.

Organize a Station: Create a designated area for school items like bags, shoes, and supplies. This keeps everything in one place and makes the morning rush easier.

Plan Healthy Breakfasts: Ensure your kids have a complete and balanced breakfast. A nutritious start to the day boosts their energy and concentration levels, setting them up for a successful day at school.

What is a balanced breakfast? A complete and balanced breakfast must include at least one from the 3 group categories: go, glow, grow. Carbohydrates for energy booster, protein for muscle and tissue repair, fruits/vegetables for fiber and other nutrients. Hindi pwedeng rice or pandesal lang, make sure may palaman na meat or egg and add gulay of fruits. You can check my sandwich collection for a complete and balanced breakfast meal.

Teach Financial Responsibility

Teaching kids about money management is crucial. Here’s how you can start:

Give Allowance in Full: Give older kids their allowance in full to help them learn how to budget and manage their money for a month.

  • How to compute your child’s allowance? Consider how many breaks they have and if they are commuting or not.
  • How much allowance do we give to our kids? Depending on their school level, for Grade 3, we don’t give him money, for Grades 8 and up, we give depending on how many breaks they have and we usually give every week. For college students, we give them a monthly allowance.

Encourage Savings with Maya: Open a savings account with Maya and encourage your kids to save a portion of their allowance. Maganda din sya na pang transfer ng pera between you and your kids di ba?

Guidelines when introducing guava to your baby

Introducing Guava to Your Baby’s Diet: When introducing guava to your baby, it is important to follow a few guidelines:

  1. Age and Readiness: The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends introducing solid foods, including fruits, around 6 months of age. Before introducing guava or any new food, ensure that your baby has reached the appropriate developmental milestones and shows signs of readiness, such as sitting up with minimal support and displaying an interest in food.
  2. Allergies: Guava is not a common allergenic fruit. However, it’s always important to be cautious when introducing any new food to your baby. Start by offering a small amount of guava puree or mashed guava and observe for any adverse reactions, such as rashes, hives, or digestive issues. If there is a family history of food allergies, consult with your pediatrician before introducing guava.
  3. Preparation: To introduce guava, start by choosing a ripe fruit with a soft texture. Wash the fruit thoroughly and remove the skin and seeds. Mash the guava or puree it to a smooth consistency, ensuring there are no lumps that could pose a choking hazard. Mix the puree with breast milk, formula, or water to achieve the desired consistency.
  4. Quantity and Frequency: Begin by offering a small amount of guava puree once a day, gradually increasing the portion size as your baby gets accustomed to the taste and texture. Remember that breast milk or formula should remain the primary source of nutrition for babies until the age of one.

Conclusion: Guava is generally considered safe and nutritious for babies, offering a range of health benefits. With its high vitamin C content, fiber, and essential nutrients, guava can be a valuable addition to a baby’s diet. However, always ensure that your baby is developmentally ready for solid foods and monitor for any signs of allergies or adverse reactions. As with any new food, it’s best to consult with your pediatrician before introducing guava or any other fruit to your baby’s diet.
