Anything mommy blogger related here. This features blog events coverage. This blog also publish press release and write ups. Tips and tutorials on how to be an effective blogger.

This also include a list of top mommy blog in the Philippines.

In addition, here is the 5 SIMPLE STEPS TO BE A MOMMY BLOGGER:

1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

Meralco Liwanag Park 2012 and Maliwanag ang Pasko Program

It’s a yearly date.. to spend a night at Meralco Liwanag Park,  then dinner at a restaurant of their choice. The kids have been looking forward to that day, specially that they have seen the Belen the last time we passed by Ortigas Avenue. My little girl even asked why Joseph is holding an umbrella (oh what a cute observation!)..
Now, I can’t wait to tell them that Meralco Liwanag is now open, once again, to the public! It is open everyday (until January 6) from 6-10 PM. I guess this weekend or next will be a Liwanag Park weekend for us.
Mr. Al Panlilio gave a short introduction on the Maliwanag ang Pasko campaign. On his back is the list of Maliwanag ang Pasko Partner LGU’s
Aside from the opening of Meralco Liwanag Park, Meralco recently partnered with Department of Tourism to help set up other Liwanag Parks in different cities and municipalities within Meralco’s franchise area. Meralco helped decorating the Liwanag Parks by providing each participating LGU their own Maliwanag ang Pasko starter kit composed of a giant parol and 500 boxes of Christmas lights. And of course, the best Liwanag Parks will get prizes from Meralco.

The Liwanag Park and the partnership with the DOT are just part of the larger Maliwanag ang Pasko program of Meralco, though. Under the program, Filipino households, too, are enjoined to do their part in lighting up their homes this season. In return, they get the chance to win prizes. To join, they may take a photo of their lighted homes or of any of the Liwanag Parks and upload them on the Meralco Facebook page.  Every entry helps contribute to Meralco’s program of energizing public schools in Palawan, Bohol, Quezon and Dinagat Islands. By joining the program, customers, therefore, not only help brighten their communities, but they also get the opportunity to help uplift public schools in the country and provide a better future for underprivileged school children.

For more details on the Maliwanag ang Pasko program, contest mechanics and the list of Liwanag Parks, you may visit the Meralco Facebook page (facebook.com/meralco).

Safeguard Creates “Soap-Alarm” to Encourage Hand Washing

Imagine this, after using the toilet, you unlock the door and steps out, then you hear an alarm.. and the only way to stop it is to dispense a soap and wash your hand. Ang saya no? if only all the rest rooms have this alarm feature… we can stop the spread of germs!

Lucky for Mc Donald’s patrons at SM Marikina, Safeguard launched a Sopa Alarm there as part of the celebration of Global Handwashing Day. The Safeguard Soap Alarm was created to alert people the importance of hand washing after using public toilets.

Forgetting to wash your hands after using a public toilet is indeed very alarming as they contain an estimated 3.2 million germs per square inch. And these germs can cause serious diseases like hepatitis or diarrhea.

Safeguard Soap Alarm was mounted at Mc Donald’s in SM Marikina and for the duration of its run, more than 9,000 customers were alarmed.  More 9000 costumers were saved from germs! yay!
So how does  Safeguard Soap Alarm works?
  1. A person enters the toilet, locks the door, and does his business.
  2. As he unlocks the door to step out, he triggers the Soap Alarm.
  3. To stop the alarm, he dispenses Safeguard Anti-bacterial Hand Soap onto his hands.
  4. Above the soap alarm is a warning and hand washing instruction guide that he can follow.

The Soap Alarm caught the attention of moms, dads, kids, students and barkadas – prompting them to wash their hands immediately with Safeguard not only to stop the alarm but, more importantly, to stop the spread of germs.. and for sure those who were alarmed wil continue the habit of washing their hands after using public toilets.

Good job Safeguard and I hope you can put up more Safeguard Soap Alarm dispenser 🙂
