Anything mommy blogger related here. This features blog events coverage. This blog also publish press release and write ups. Tips and tutorials on how to be an effective blogger.

This also include a list of top mommy blog in the Philippines.

In addition, here is the 5 SIMPLE STEPS TO BE A MOMMY BLOGGER:

1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

Zen Zest Eau de Toilette Collection (Men and Women)

I’ll go for Tangerine, Mulberry, Teal, Silver and Black.

Green is still my favorite color though.. and I am not talking about colors from the colors I mentioned above… sounds confusing eh?

Tangerine, Mulberry, Teal, Silver and Black are the scents that light my olfactory bulb.. I mean scents that I liked from an afternoon of fragrance with Zen Zest. There were 18 EDT displayed on our table (including their collection which will be released this April), 8 bottles for women and 10 for men.. and each bottle has a scent of its own that gives a lasting impression to anyone who’ll smell it. I chose Tangerine, Mulberry, Teal, Silver and Black as my top because..

Tangerine (women) reminds me so much of summer.. a season I consider to be the most fun. The whiff of green melon essence on this bottle gives a breeze even on a hot summer afternoon.

Mulberry (women) is so fresh and smells so fruity. It is something that I can wear everyday!

Teal (for men) is a scent that would make me want to tops whatever I’m doing and just spend an afternoon with my man..

Silver is so clean..I love it for that basic reason.

Black.. is so strong… it radiates confidence..

If you’re on the look out for your next EDT purchase, here are the list of ZEN ZEST EAU DE TOILETTE and a short description of each (from Zen Zest.. green- my opinion)

  • INDIGO for women – A splash of this feminine combination of flowers creates a lasting impression. strong personality
  • MULBERRY for women – Concocted with fresh apples and juicy pears, this lovely scent is a joy to wear. fresh and fruity!
  • TANGERINE for women – A whiff of this green melon essence is enough to bring the temperature down on scorching summer days. summer fun!

International School- Faith Academy

I had the chance to visit and tour an international school near our place. Located on a hillside overlooking Manila, Faith Academy is a k-12 international Christian School with over 20 Nationalities representing their student body and Faith Academy also accepts Filipino students.

Our tour around the campus includes seeing their library, one of the coolest I have seen. Then we proceeded to the classrooms  and was able to have a glimpse of their students (in different hair color as expected). We also got the chance to see their facilities such as their pool and their newly built auditorium. One of my most favorite part of the tour (except for the Chili Con Carne we had for lunch) was their arts center. Being an artist, it feels like heaven inside that room! (and makes me want to enroll my kids there right at that moment)

Then we had a sumptuous lunch of chili con carne and a very interesting discussion about third culture kids and raising global citizens by Libby Stephens.

It was my first time to hear about Third Culture Kid. According to Libby, Third Culture Kid or TCK is an individual who, having spent a significant part of the development years in a culture other than the parent’s culture, develops a sense of relationship to all of the cultures, while not having full ownership in any. Elements from each culture are incorporated into the life experience, but the sense of belonging is in relationship to others of similar experience.

It’s quite hard to understand how it was define but with Libby’s explanation, I think I had a better understanding with what TCK is all about.  It’s like the students at Faith Academy, given the fact that there are more than 20 nationalities in their population, each student is expose to different culture and each learns a new culture different from their own.

I found great articles about TCK from Libby’s Blog, please do check them out if you have time to get a better understanding about TCK.

And here’s short video about Faith Academy:

Please visit Faith Academy’s website if you’re interested to be part of it.
