1. Create a blog name that will represent you as a mommy blog. Sometimes it's good to include the noun mommy or mother or nanay.

2. Create an email the same as your blog name for branding purpose, in other words, for identification. After that, you can proceed to step 3 which is actually one of the most challenging part.

3. Open a blog. It has been debated for so many times which is the best blogging platform to use. For starters, I usually recommend blogspot because it is free. On the other han, if you are ready to shell out money, wordpress org is the best.

4. Design your blog. This sound like an easy task to do, it is actually, however, it can be very time consuming. The number of free templates for a blog is endless. To help you decide, set your blog tone and color. Will it be a dark themed blog? Light? What will be the primary colors? And from there, searching will be easier.

5. Lastly and most importantly, Start writing. The best way to start this is to introduce yourself. Likewise, you can also create a list of why you started a mommy blog. Or you can mention top 10 things that you would want your future readers to know about you.

What is Baby Shower and How To Plan Perfect Baby Showers

Baby Shower is a way to celebrate the coming of a new baby. The term shower means showering the mother to be with gifts that will be essential to the baby. By traditions, baby shower are given to first time moms and usually only moms will attend. In old age, shower means, showering the expectant mom knowledge and wisdom about motherhood. Nowadays, baby shower are also attended by dads and even kids. And it is now common that a mom can have as much baby shower as her friends can organize.

Usually, it is held in a hotel room, small bar or a cozy restaurant. And since most shower are kinda surprise party to the expectant mom, it is advised not to held the party on the her house. When you are to plan a baby shower, you might want to consider the activities you will include. Below are some game ideas for baby shower that can make your activity fun and of course, memorable for the expectant mom.

Guess the due date game. This is a fun guessing game where guests will have to guess the expected date of delivery.
The baby game. This is a fun game where guests that are not moms yet can participate. Dads can have a chance on this game too! This is a game where participants will have to change the diaper of the baby (of course use a doll) and who does it fastest wins.
Guess the baby’s gender can be fun too if the party is not gender theme related.

As for the giveaways, the party planner can opt for things that can be useful for their guests. If they have more mommy guests, a small toy that the kids will love will do or even a small figurine that says thank you is enough.

Mommy’s Day Out

October 11, Linden Suites. Mommies experienced a day out that is all about themselves. Treated with a hefty lunch. Welcomed by Unilab Corporate Affairs, Jack Orendain and a series of lecture that surely changed the lives of the moms.

The event was hosted by Aileen Dalisay. Moms were reminded on how to take care of themselves. All will agree that in order for a mom to function well, she must be well herself. And for all the mommies out there, here are the mantras that Personal Care speaker Marie Calica shared (repeat this to yourself everyday or every chance you get).

I promise to scrub a dub.
I will slap on the face cream.
I won’t forget my eyes or my neck.
Water is my best friend.
I will say “si” to E.
I am sleeping beauty.
I will use protection.
I keep myself fresh and clean.
Beauty is easily available to me.

A make up lesson followed. Make up artist Anjie Gogna briefed moms on how to achieve everyday look make up and showed how it is done:

The event was sealed with the moms having a spa. One for their crowning glory an d the other part of the body who always took the blame, the feet.

Sérye Post… Save The Best For Last

Tablea, which means tablet in Spanish is made of roasted and finely ground cacao beans. And the cacao plant, which was introduced by the Spaniards, grows very well in the tropics.

still part of Sérye Café Filipino experience we had last Friday, October 1. and just as I declared it.. October onwards will be my months.. and starting this way is waaay waay better.

The best.. and you know what that is.. DESSERTS!!! First serving.. Mocha Manila hot (I tried the Frappe version recently and I love the hot version better)

And aside from the sweet treats.. Alvin, Serye’s owner even gave us some take home goodies, which includes Coco Jam, Guava Jelly and Gourmet Toyo (tutyal!)

As per Abby’s statement, gava jelly and cheese is a must try. And the coco jam is so yumyum. Ubos na nga ahuhu..

Last Sunday we were back and this time with the kids.. though we had a little commotion (Mico broke their glass, sorry Alvin, yes it was my son last Sunday), we did enjoyed dinning there. We had pork and chicken adobo. Mico was the only one who hasn’t eaten dinner yet.. as for us, we had desserts! Mocha Manila cake, Macapuno Leche Flan, Sans Rival (Ill be back for yah!) and Mocha Manila Frappe and choco frappe for the kids (the glass Mico broke haha).
