Zoo Insect

I am not an insect fan because I hate it when it crawls. Even if I am not a big fan of insects, I am fascinated by them. I can watch them only if we are divided by mesh and glasses LOL. But I know insects are a good educational tool for kids. It would be easier to discuss metamorphosis through the use of butterflies. It would also be easy to tell them the difference of few and many using centipedes.

For parents who are on the look for a good place to introduce your kids to insects, O. Orkin Insect Zoo is the best place for you. This zoo is a special exhibit on the second floor of Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. In here, visitors can observed live insects and crawling animals. If you want to experience feeding a tarantula, this place is for you. I am arachnophobia but in this place (knowing it is safe) I might try to feed a tarantula. And for curious little minds, their questions about insects and legged animals will be entertain, they might even catch a caterpillar turning into a beautiful butterfly.

So the next time you and your kids are out, go bring them to the zoo.

On Moving

We have plans on moving to another place after the school year. As you all know, we were affected by the typhoon Ondoy and the flood also took a lot from us. I am not speaking about material things but more on the emotional aspects it brought us. Since the flood, my paranoia increases. Every time it rains, I am worried it would flood again. And though it was had for me to move to another place, I guess it’s the next best thing.

That was last month, now I don’t think moving to another place is practical. I already contacted moving companies though. I am very advanced in terms of everything. I found a great company that helps every one who is moving out, may it be personal or household moving. They also help international moving and even company relocation.

Back to my blab, I think it would be harder for us financially if we move to another place. For sure house and apartment owners in places where there was no flood increased their rents. Some people are just like that, they see opportunity in every tragedy. I hope I can convince Cata not to move this year.

Innova, Innovation

One of my kumare mentioned something about having a bigger car if she ever had a 5 Million Pesos. And me too, I want a bigger car. If the insurance company had declared our car as total lost, we could have brought a bigger one. Sedan can no longer accommodate us. Imagine 4 kids, two helpers and husband and wife. In a way, we can still fit inside the car but it would be uncomfortable. I think a van will be good for us. I was thinking of Innova by Toyota because it is very simple. I can put a lot of car accessories on it.

I wonder before why it is named as such, Innova, then I realized that it is named as Innova because it is very innovating. Any car accessories will good on it. I saw a white one before with lots of body kits. It has a basic side step, door visor and rear skirt and front skirt. It also has sport tray which I think is a must in every Innova. What I like most about the Innova I saw was it has a bumper on the front that made it look liked it is a bigger type of vehicle. And oh I forgot to mention that the rear windows and the door handles are chrome. I love it from head to toe!
