PHILIPPINES, March 23, 2026 — Zootopia 2 is racing ahead on Disney+, reaching 32 million views globally in its first seven days and becoming the #1 film on Disney+ during its premiere week. Its arrival on the service builds on the enduring popularity of the franchise: together, Zootopia, Zootopia+, and Zootopia 2 have been streamed for more than 885 million hours globally to date.

The film’s strong debut on Disney+ follows its massive theatrical success. Zootopia 2 shattered box office records, becoming the highest-grossing animated Motion Picture Association (MPA) release of all time with $1.9 billion worldwide. It also ranks as the eighth highest-grossing film ever and the #1 domestic release of 2025.
The sequel’s success continues the legacy of the original Zootopia, which captivated audiences around the world and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2017. On Disney+, Zootopia ranks as the #7 movie of all time and has remained one of the most-streamed movies across all platforms in the U.S. for three of the last six years, according to Nielsen.
The world of Zootopia has also expanded far beyond the screen. In 2023, Shanghai Disney Resort opened the first-ever Zootopia-themed land, immersing guests in the Mammalian Metropolis and bringing the beloved animal residents of the film to life. Its signature attraction, Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, is now the highest-rated attraction at Shanghai Disneyland, with one in four guests saying they visited the park specifically for the land.
Using cutting-edge technology, the park also quickly introduced new content inspired by Zootopia 2, debuting the film’s latest Gazelle song with one of its newest Audio-Animatronics just weeks after the film’s theatrical release. Guests have also embraced the themed food offerings, with more than 4.8 million Disney Zootopia Pawpsicles sold to date — equivalent to 480 tons of ice cream.
Beyond streaming and parks, the animated feature has also driven strong fan engagement across consumer products and global retail. The franchise has sparked viral demand for collectibles, blind boxes, and collaborations with brands such as Pop Mart, Miniso, Tony Moly, and Uniqlo.
