From Blogger To Being A Financial Advisor

I have been blogging for 3 years already and though I enjoy what I am doing, there are times that I contemplate on changing a career (yeah I consider blogging as a career ahahaha). And if I am not into blogging, I will be selling. Sales is my first love. As early as I can count and knew how to subtract, add and count change, my grandmother taught us how to sell. I remember that every summer she would give us money and we would use to buy and sell stuffs.. There was a time that even on school days, me and my sister would ride on our bike and look for things/ fruits that we can buy and sell. It’s fun and not to mention we got to earn some extra, which we usually spend on food trip (that later on was the culprit of our Typhoid fever hahahahaha)

As I am saying, if ever I would stop blogging, I will be in sales. And if there is one industry that is closest to my heart, that would be INSURANCE. For one, my mom raised us from insurance money. She has been selling policies for more 2 decades already. I also had a first hand experience with it.. tried taking the insurance license exam and passed. I was oriented with some of the ins and outs of this industry. And most of all, I believe that there is a need for insurance. Life is unpredictable and we need to be prepared.
Coincidentally, while I was whining about how I wanted to change a career, I was invited by Mom Friday for a lunch out with her friends from the insurance industry. Initially, I thought, they would be presenting their products and asked us to share it with our readers. Of course, I would be very much willing to do that as I have mentioned, I believe in insurance. Surprisingly, what Darwin Uyco and Christine Lee of Sun Life Financial told us is far more interesting. No, they did not sell their products to us, they never even mentioned what are the kinds of investment Sun Life has to offer. What they told us was how it is working with Sun Life. Darwin talked about his travel incentives, the perks and privileges of being a financial advisor of Sun Life.. and a lot other things.
Financial Advisor rings as a very intimidating career.. do I need to finish finance related article to be a financial advisor? And that was one of the things that Christine explained to us. Darwin and Christine gave us a glimpse of their life as a financial advisors. They even told us the stories behind their “accidental careers”. Both never thought that they will have a job in the insurance industry.

Intimidating it may sound, being a financial advisor is actually easy.. how and why? Sun Life Financial is of course will be there to back you up. Talk about training, small talks, discussions and the likes. And if you think this job is for you, contact Darwin directly on the details below:

One of the things that is worth mentioning is how being a financial advisor is just like having your own business. You will not earn without working but the good thing is, unlike in business, you need to invest money and not to mention sweat (and blood.. dugo at pawisin short).. on being a financial advisor, you only need effort (no money involve, no sakit ng ulo involve..). You have a flexible work schedule, you earning opportunity is unlimited and the best part is you have travel incentives.

What Every Home Owners Should Know

Every now and then we hear in the news that there are houses burned down to ashes, or there were apartment buildings shattered due to earthquakes, and then we ask ourselves, what will happen to those people who just lost their houses and have left with nothing? What if it will happen to us? Where will we get the money to rise up again? In these situation home insurance companies comes in.

Home insurance is a very important thing that people should not forget to buy. From life to car insurances, people always buy them because they know their importance. But when it comes to home insurances, homeowners tend to let the thoughts pass by. Without even thinking what will happen to them if they will lose their home to a fire or something unavoidable? The common saying always goes, that it is better to be robbed than have the house burned. Maybe, homeowners should now start to think about having insurance for their home.

It Happened Too Soon

Only few people knows this.. one of my husband’s nephew died after New Year. I wouldn’t be much affected if I hadn’t met and interacted with the kid last New Year. The boy even tinkered my camera. He was only 13, for sure, his parents didn’t even thought about Burial Insurance for him. It was a sudden lost. They say that he collapsed during their Physical Education jogging routine. It was so sad that the school did not brought him to the hospital as soon as it happened. They waited and it must be the cause of his death.

What made my heart heavier is the fact that last year, I have learned that a friend’s relative also died at a very young age. He was also a teenager. As a mother, I couldn’t help but be paranoid. If this is happening to people we knew, it might happen to us and that is something I cannot take. Why is it that death rises on teenagers? Is it their active life less nutritious food that is becoming the culprit? Me and husband agreed that when our kids reached 12, we would be very cautious on their health. I mean extra, super extra cautious.

Life and death is the most avoided topic. To me, it is as simple as it will happen. One of the reason why we are always looking for affordable life insurance rate. At least we can have something for the kids when we left. But, I know most of you will agree that the worst thing can happen to any parent is when they outlive their kids. That is the saddest thing, specially of course if it will happen too soon (like what happened to my sister in law).

But for people who treats death like me, you might want to read Insurance Information Exchange and be prepared on what might come.
