Breastfeeding Month

August is breastfeeding month. And if you must know, I support breastfeeding and I advocate it. There is so much benefits breastfeeding can give. Imagine being able to feed your baby even if you’re only on your lingerie. If you are on bottle feeding, you need to wear your robe, your shirt before even standing up to prepare a formula for the baby. That’s actually the most convenient benefit of breastfeeding. No need to get up in the middle of the night to feed the baby. All you have to do is open your shirt or clothes and the baby will know where it is.

Of course in terms of health, breastfeeding has a lot of benefits. I can attest to that as all my kids are breastfed. I breastfed them exclusively for a year. And during that time and until now, they seldom got sick (except when they were infected with Primary Complex). And though they are always on the slimmer side, they are healthy and they are very active kids.

Then there’s the financial benefits of it. Imagine not buying baby formula for a whole year? You can save a lot! And also, when you breastfeed a baby, they seldom wet their diapers, so that’s another one. You won’t have to change their diapers often.

Emotionally, in my own opinion and in my experience, I feel bliss whenever I breastfeed my baby. There is so much contentment on it. Imagine being able to give life and being able to nourish that life, that is just too much. I am talking here on the emotional benefit on me.

Breastfeeding is not easy. I have been there and it was really hard. You need to be focused on your goal. You need to exert effort. You need to know that if you choose to breastfeed you have to work hard. Not all woman are lucky enough to express milk right after their baby’s are delivered. Like me, I worked two weeks before any milk comes out of my breast. It was painful but I am determined to breastfeed my baby. All my efforts were all worth it.

I don’t criticize moms who did not breastfeed their baby but to me, it’s the most natural thing to do, so why not feed your baby.

I hope in the future, I will be able to help new moms on how to breastfeed and how not to give up on it.

Alagang Bisolvon Event

Am I a supermom?

Yes I am, as long as my kids think I am 🙂

Just got back from Bisolvon’s Supermom Blog event (the best so far), where an online photo contest was introduced to mommy bloggers (will post about it later). Had a great time chit chatting with Regine Tolentino, mommies and the people behind the event. I also met some mommies whose blogs are already imprinted in my mind. All of you will agree, that when you first see a blogger (whom you always visit or already met in blogniverse), you see their bog lay out as you talk to them, not their faces.. haha..

She Bloggers that we met:
Red, after years of exchanging affiliates and all, we finally met..
Milet, who was actually Corenelio’s wife (one of the movie pass winner)
Czaroma, who is actually friendlier than her blog hehe
and Joy, whose blog is still unknown..(noob’s gonna find a way, don’t worry).. scrath that.. sahe already got her new domain!! Occasions of Joy

and of course, that’s Joana and Fedhz (my events buddy harhar) and Tetcha was there too.

Some of the winners from my previous giveaway was there.. nice.. hitting two birds with one stone. yay! (will post the pics of some of the winners in a different post)

and the princess also got her moment…

The event was SUPER fun specially for the kids. And as one of the mom blogger who attended the event, the event was complete. Complete in a sense that moms need not to worry about their kids. There were a lot of activities to keep the kids busy (as said in the invites) thus giving moms time to concentrate on what was being said by the host. And the food served by Blue Whale is yumyumyum (darn! I forgot to take some pics!)

Fresh Mommy

It has been a while since I last did this. I am no pro when it comes to painting my face but I do know the basic to make my face look better. I started painting my face when I had Mico, around 2005. Actually, I only use a lipstick back then. As years goes by, I started adding other make up products on my face. I stopped when I had Chico, was too busy to apply some. Then, last week, out of boredom, I tried again. My face hates elaborate make up. Full blown make up is my enemy. The next best thing is the natural look, less is perfect for my face. And since my eyes are chinita, I don’t usually use eye make up products. Here is the finished product.

That’s the freshest and most natural look I can get. This is a MINUTE MAID product. It only took me some minutes to achieve this one. It is as if I am not wearing any make up at all. Anyway, to achieve it, I first used liquid foundation from Clinique Happy (the best I used so far). I covered it with pressed powder (for smoother effect) then apply blush on on my cheeks, and some on my forehead too.

How about you? Hw do you paint your face?
