Sati's Christening Archives

I started blogging without knowing I can meet friends at the blogniverse, and much more, finding godmothers for my only girl. Last year was when a fellow mommy (a work at home mom) lured me into starting my own blog (thanks a lot Kaye, if ever I go insane for handling a lot of blogs, it’s YOUR fault..LOL) and so so.. I blog, visit other’s blog, meet gay people like me and formed the “she bloggers”. Basically a mommy blogger’s “club” or time where we all mommy bloggers, take a day off on being a blogger and a mom and have a date (dutch treat). And so from those meets up and Yahoo messages, the MARCE CLUB evolve.

The blogniverse is our witness. The first one to know that I am having a baby girl at last. And the MARCE CLUB are the people who were as delighted and ecstatic as I am with Sati’s arrival. Now that we are officially kumares (upon Sati’s baptismal last Sunday), I want to learn more about my kumares. See the MARCE CLUB widget on my sidebar? Yes, they are the pretty ninangs of my pretty Sati. It’s a link of their sites.

The best way to learn more about them is, of course, reading through their entries. That is why their sites are displayed on my sidebars. I will try hard to read one article per day from their site (with comments of course). I really want to know my Kumares as I believe that these are the people that would attend to my daughter in case I cannot. These are the people that I can trust to take care of Sati. I hope I can live up to this an article a day rule.

Sorry I can’t help it. I told Fedhz, Niko, Kaye, Yami and Joana that I would be sleeping right after they leave. But I am just dying from embarrassment, gratefulness and happiness that I can’t help but blog about it. Before anything else, in case you are wondering why they were here a while ago… it’s Sati’s christening today.. and though not all of her godmother can come (understandable for Gene, Liz Jade, Seiko and Kikz) the presence of the above mentioned (and a very extravagant gift from Seiko) was enough to make me happy. Chris is also Sati’s godmother but she said there was a conflict on her sched (acceptable) but for Mye.. hmm.. I wonder where have you been?!?

And so, the reason why I am embarrassed and grateful at the same time is because Seiko, who lives a thousand miles from us, made us all smile through her extravagant giftss. Thanks to Dondon (the person who brought it here) and of course THANK YOU SO MUCH MARENG SEIKO. I told you guys before that I am not used to receiving gifts. I am more of a giver, but I think I have to get used to it LOL. Seiko is one of the most sensible person I know. She really knows how to give something that will be of good use. Truly, I am very embarrassed. (sana mare sinabi mo para di na ako nagluto hehe)

I am very happy because finally, me and KAYE met. We have been talking on the net for a year now and today is our first time to see each other. As expected, Fedhz did all the talking, just like how we are on YM. I am so, so happy that I found this guys on the net. And Niko brought her lovely daughter Yena (who entertained us with her Bahay Kubo). Since Fedhz and Kaye did not bring their kids with them, it was decided to have another meet up(here in my house). I really wanna see Kaye’s piglet. I just hope Yami’s daughter was not tainted by our “harsh” talks.

Sorry I didn’t got to take a lot of shots. We are too busy chatting.. and now I can finally sleep. My eyes are betraying me already( I started cooking at 3 int he morning).. nighty!
