The News That Made My Blog Day

By now, you are all aware if my OCD and my blogging sched (somehow). Tuesday and Thursday is for current events or anything that is not that personal or with a touch of events (yeah like she bloggers and the likes). And so while I was thinking of whether to create another she bloggers update, I checked my mail for a while. I was not surprised to see an update from my Barrio, Barrio Siete, but I was surprised that a new article is not about Cory anymore:

2009 Influential Blog Awards, Cooking with Janet?!
Janette Toral chatted with me sometime this year. She asked for my support for her Influential Blog Awards. Given that up to this point, I am still hyper-critical of that other market-their-business-best friends/volunteers/kiss-ur-ass-and-will-continue-to-watch-them-2009-awards, I decided to support her. Why? I liked the idea of making known the small and upcoming talented bloggers. That’s the least that we can do with all these meaningless blog awards. In fact, she even told me na pag-uwi ko raw, just let her know and she will let me speak in one of her seminars. … (from my inbox)

And since I joined this hullabaloo, I click the link and landed on one of the most controversial article I have seen in Barrio Siete. It made my blogging day as I did not dare open my dashboard and my eyes were glued in this article. I feel like there’s a bomb waiting to explode. There are issues that needs to be resolved. I have to give it to La Kapitana (Inay Reyna for me) for braving the blogosphere and publishing this kind of article. For the Barriotics who were involved in the investigation, thanks for giving this to us.

As I have said, I joined and made an entry for Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs 2009 and considered on launching my very own campaign and influence bloggers to include me on their list. Then again, aside from my tardiness, I don’t think it would be proper to lobby for a vote.

Go ahead and check Barrio Siete, they can explain it better to you.. All this hullabaloo and the more pressing issues about it.

You Are Inspirational- Woman Inspiration

award

This week’s theme for You are Inspirational is woman blog. I had a hard time thinking who’s blog I will feature. Almost all on my blog list are mommy blogs.. and then I remember Ghie of Confessions

Ghie is one hot woman.. and single, so guys watch out (as if I have guy readers LOL). I met Ghie, if my memory is cooperating, through Niko of Niko’s Blog. It was her funny way of writing and telling stories that caught me. I really had a good time laughing when she posted her first ever stint in beauty pageant. She knows it is such an embarrasment to do such thing but she made us laugh. That attitude is something that is most outstanding with Ghie, it shows that she has a very happy disposition in life. And where can she get it, her family of course. Her family, carries the same happy outlook in life and you can from her post that they really enjoy life.

Ghie is a registered nurse and she was very serious with her chosen career. I almost jump with joy (er but I ma sitting in front of my pc then) when she posted her name being in the newsprint as one of the board passers. I was proud to have a blogging friend who made made it to being an RN. She really is trying hard on fulflfilling a career as a nurse, she undergo training and the likes that you have to go through to be nurse. And if some hospitals are busy mopping their mistakes and not hiring her, you can found her being a part time vendor.

You should visit her and have a dose of her happy life 🙂

Eat All You Can Meryenda

My sisters weer telling me about this eat all you can restaurant in our province. They said that it offers an eat all you can meryenda for 99PhP. And so when we went home to my province, me and hubby tried this meryenda buffet. I was expecting native delicacies like puto, banana cure, turon, kalamay and the likes. Instead we were greeted by pancit, spaghetti and dinuguan. Good thing there was Guinataang Mais.. on of my favorites..

first cup
second cup

third cup

Nabusog ako is an understatement.. haha.. I hope the meryenda buffet in Dad’s serves pinoy delicacies.. I can’t wait for the meet up on August 13!!
