When the husband said he needs a long drive to relax, the only destination we could think of is San Juan, La Union. So one weekend, we packed our bags and drive to La Union for the much needed R&R.
San Juan talaga is the best beach for us.. the food, the people and the long drive…and yes, SURFING! And my 3rd boy Chico finally braved the waves:
Yes, that’s him… he was afraid at first pero nung nasanay na, ayaw na tumigil! If not for the rubber board that’s hurting his tummy, hindi talaga to titigil. So for his 7th birthday, he asked for a rashguard + another weekend at San Juan with unli surfing!
Even if he stumbles and falls into the water, he still wants to ride the waves! He really is more than brain smart! He’s also body smart and of course people smart too!

He is brain smart indeed and receiving a lot of medals in his school’s recognition day is a proof that he is. He is also body smart, he is not afraid to try new things, learn how to swim and dance during summer days. He also is not afraid to mingle and communicate with other people and kids his age.

My child is people smart because he’s never shy to talk to other kids. He’s often the one who initiates to talk to someone especially when he notices that the kid is shy. He will ask to play with him or “Laro tayo!” and most of the time, they will follow him.
He is also body smart because he’s super active in sports especially in soccer and he’s always in the playground. He is brain smart, too, because he loves reading story books.

Santi is brain smart and collects Lego building blocks. He builds them on his own, which helps him develop visualization. He learns to read and follow instructions by using the manual. He is also people smart and friendly. He actively participates in school programs such as the United Nations pageant and communicates well with his fellow students. He is body smart and loves outdoor plays. The playground is his happy place where he meets other kids and challenges himself to climb the slides and monkey bars.

1. Brain Smart – He is responsible when it comes to doing his assignments that he doesn’t play his gadget or watch TV unless he is finish.
2. Body Smart – He loves to play with his sister in our village’s playground — biking, run around or simply enjoy the swing!

My son is Brain Smart because At the age of 4 he’s able to name the 10 flags of different countries and their capital City as well He’s also Body Smart because he loves outdoor activities & challenges. He tried Velcro Wall for the first time & he was so fearless! By simply playing with the other kids he was already knw the true meaning of sportmanship that made him a People Smart. 🙂
