$1500 Savings From Black Friday Walmart Sale

I really enjoyed doing the Black Friday Walmart Experience guest post.. and since I really love anything about sale, savings and discounts, I decided to share more Black Friday Experience from our fellow bloggers.

Here’s what Go Momma Coupons has to say:

When you first heard of Black Friday at Walmart, what was your initial reaction?
Walmart is a HEADACHE!! Probably my least favorite store. I don’t understand why then have so many checkout lanes with only 3 open and 10 people in each line.

Did you plan what you are going to buy for the Black Friday?
Yes, I have a spreadsheet with what I want and the prices for each store. I am filling on my 2011 shopping trip now

Can you share with us what is on you list last year?
Blu Ray player, 50 inch 3D TV, Nintendo DS, Keurig, Panini maker, Shark Pro Steam

On the day itself, what time did you went to Walmart?
I got to Walmart at 6. 2 hours after it opened so the crazy rush was over 🙂

Can you account your experience from the time you arrived until you got your purchase?
The store was empty it was not as bad as I had anticipated

What are the items that you were able to buy and how much did you saved?
I bought about 50 items and saved over $1500

Are you going to Black Friday Walmart again this year? If yes what do you plan on buying this Black Friday 2011 at Walmart?
Yes, I am sure I will go again. Just not the first store. I have about 30 items on my list this year. Nintendo DS 3D, Leap Frog Tablet, iPad 2, iRobot (vacuum cleaner0, Corelle dishes (set of 12), wireless printer….. to name a few

What are your tips for first time Black Friday Shopper?
Be ready to be long lines and crowds. I love shopping on Black Friday. I do 95% my Christmas shopping. I buy tons of stuff for my self too!!! Good Luck

Starbucks 2012 Planner And Starbucks Holiday Drinks

and though I am a planning obsessed maniac.. this will be the first time that I will collect stickers and hope for a Starbucks Planner.

I am not just a fan.. not of SB but of the planner, I don’t know.. but this year, when I saw the Starbucks 2012 Planner.. I just fell in love.. uhm, yes I love the design but what I love most is the burlap- cloth pouch or coffee bean sack.. I love this fiber and I dream of creating an eco bag from burlap (or hessian).

A photo from Spot.ph.. see the pouch? really nice!

The planner comes in five colors: poplar, bamboo, cherry, spruce, and oak and the cover of the planners is made from wood.. (perfect partner for my wood inspired theme for my home blog) not to mention that the planner are made from 70% recycled paper.

Now to have even just one planner, I need to drink 23 Starbucks Core Beverage since I went for Option 2. I already got 2 from my card and 5 from my husband’s.. 16 more drinks to go! yay!

Option 1 seems a lot easier to accomplish.. you only need 17 stickers to avail a planner. That’s Holiday Featured Beverages and 8 any Starbucks Core Beverage

Here are the new Holiday Drinks for Starbucks 2012 Planner: (photos from Spot.ph then edited)

That’s Cranberry White Chocolate Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte and Peppermint Mocha.

Is There a Fitness Program Right for Me?

No matter what a person’s age or physical condition, there are workout programs that will suit their needs. Even the people who say they hate exercising can find a workout program that is actually fun.

Pilates – originally created for strengthening a dancer’s body, Pilates is now available for everyone. It is a core-strengthening and muscle conditioning workout that can be done on the floor or on a Pilates reformer, which is a platform with pulleys that stretch the body. Pilates is an exercise that is gentle on the knees and back, and is often recommended by physicians for older people or for those who need to stretch their muscles effectively.

Yoga – another workout that lengthens and stretches muscles, yoga focuses on holding poses that brings balance and calmness to the body and mind. While everyone can do yoga, it also is recommended for people with physical limitations such as arthritis or back problems. Yoga is based on mental and physical centering and focus. It is usually done on a yoga mat in a room that is peaceful and calming. There are forms of yoga conditioningclasses that are more challenging for the experienced practitioner.

Zumba – for people who say they hate to exercise, a zumba class is a perfect fit. Zumba combines Latin dance moves with hip-hop and classical dancing for a really fun, invigorating workout. The music ranges from jazz to Latin, rap or rock and instructors lead the class in challenging dance moves similar to those on professional music videos. It is fun for all ages, and gets the whole body moving.

P90-X –for the person who wants to get in good physical shape, but does not want to join a gym, the P90-X system is perfect. It is an extremely challenging series of workouts that will condition the entire body. The workout requires dedication as it is not easy, but the results are amazing. The system comes with a series of DVDs that instruct the person on how to safely perform the workout routines, but the person with medical issues should check with their physician before embarking on the program.

Wii-Fit –the person who prefers to workout at home and has a Wii can find great workout routines with Wii-Fit. The benefit of Wii-Fit is that the person works out on the Wii platform and the system monitors the person’s moves and will provide instruction on how to work out safely and effectively. People just starting on a physical conditioning program might find this a lot less intimidating than going to a gym. The Wii also has dance routine workouts that are conditioning the body muscles but doing it in a fun way.

Getting the body moving can improve a person’s overall health and mental well-being.
