Firefly LED Father’s Day Tribute

A salute to all fathers who tireless support their families, Firefly LED shares its heartwarming Father’s Day tribute through a video that perfectly captures what it really means to be a father.

While fathers may not often be associated as nurturing and warm individuals, they continue to be what keeps the family together through his hard work, determination to succeed and selflessness.

His every success is inspired by his dream of a wonderful life for his family, it is the thought of them being happy that keeps him going no matter how tired he may get from working.

Making time between work commitments and his family is not always easy, in fact, it takes a great amount of commitment to make things work but that’s what makes fathers admirable human beings in the first place.

While it can’t be helped that sometimes he won’t be around much at home if work gets too busy, there’s always a way to create family time.

This Father’s Day, why not bring the celebration to dad instead of waiting for him?

Show how thankful you are for being the light and pillar of the family.

In line with its “Kasama Mo” campaign, Firefly LED effectively captures the realities of being a father through a video featuring three real-life fathers from all walks of life.

An endearing tribute to the light and pillar of the family, the hardworking and madiskarte fathers who make sure that their family’s needs are always well taken care of.

In the video, three fathers from different walks of life talk about how much they love their families, and why they don’t mind making sacrifices if it means seeing their children grow up happy and well – and most importantly, that their families remain intact.

“Ako ang nag-aalaga sa kanila, lahat ng pangangailangan nila, pag-aaral, pagkain, baon nila araw araw, kung ano yung kailangan, yun ang ginagampanan,” says Harold, a 43-year-old single father and architect of his responsibility to his three children.

When asked what kind of father he is to his children, Rowel, a 47-year-old electrician has this to say, “Mapagmahal na ama. Hanggang kaya ko magtrabaho, gagawin ko. Sila lang ang kayamanan ko sa buhay.”

Fifty-year-old driver turned real estate agent, Mario, takes pride in being able to provide for his children, especially for their education, “Napagtapos ko silang lahat. Masasabi ko pa rin naman na naging maayos yung pagpapalaki ko sa kanila.”

When asked what it is that they continue to pray for their family, a teary-eyed Mario says that he doesn’t want a broken family, same with Rowel, who shares he doesn’t want his children to suffer any hardships in life, adding how, one of his daughters is currently going through some problems with her partner who took away their child.

As the three fathers were talking about the joys and sacrifices of being a father, unbeknownst to them their families have been listening to their interviews, shedding tears of appreciation for their beloved fathers.

This time, it’s their families who will be making the effort to celebrate the wonderful fathers that they are. Selfless, loving, and will do anything for their families.

“Siya yung tipo ng tatay na isusubo nalang yung pagkain, iuuwi pa sa ‘min, mahal na mahal ka namin,” says Rowel’s eldest daughter, who couldn’t help but cry as she recounts how selfless their father is when it comes to providing for their needs.

Rowel’s daughter is equally filled with emotions when she greets her father, saying “thank you” for everything that he has done for them and apologizes for whatever heartaches she may have caused. Rowel receives her with a warm embrace.

Harold is surprised to see his children visiting him to give him a gift saying that it is the first time he has ever experienced something like this, and with a shaky voice, adds, “Masarap pala.”.

It is definitely heartwarming to hear their stories and see how, with a just a loving hug from their family members and words of appreciation, one can easily see the look of contentment and happiness in their eyes.

That with just a small gesture of appreciation, they are reassured that all of their sacrifices for their families are worth it.

How do you celebrate your father’s love?

5 Father’s Day Gift Ideas If You’re A SAHM

I am SAHM, stay at home mom for those who are not familiar with the acronyms. It means, I have no salary, I depend on the allowance that my husband gives. So when occasions such as Valentine’s Day, specially Father’s Day come, I am having a hard time thinking what to give to him. I don’t have that much money to spend, so I am always on the look out for cheap, practical and unique gift for my husband.

If you are like who is a SAHM and no budget for Father’s Day, here are 5 gift ideas to show your partner that you appreciate him as a father to your kids:

  1. Spa treatment at home! You know the works, massage, body scrub, facial scrub and mask, foot massage. Extra if you have manicure set, you can work on mani and pedi too.
  2. If you did managed to save a few pesos from your allowance, there’s a wide range of affordable and classy gifts available online. Some of my friends suggest a leather wallet but look for a brand that is not yet known. If your husband loves Whiskey, whiskey stones is the best way to impress him.
  3. Personalized mug sounds great if your husband loves drinking coffee. Even perfect if you can find a supplier that makes hidden message on mugs. It changes color or reveal message when it is hot. If he uses it everyday, he can be reminded everyday how much you love him and grateful for him.
  4. BBQ party at home. If it is something that appeals to you, invite your daddy friends and have a BBQ party at home. Party must be potluck!
  5. Intimate dinner. If your partner is the introvert kind, nothing beats an intimate dinner. Works best when all the kids are asleep. Wine is a must!

As for me, I’d go with number 5 and I am also thinking of number 3 since the husband is a coffee drinker. Checking out Gift Less Ordinary if they sell personalized mug with hidden message. And will be composing my message in a while.. which I think is the hardest of them all!

Advance Happy Father’s Day to your partner!

Make Brushing More Fun With Minions!

Parenting is not an easy job, especially if you have five kids. Imagine every child is different from each other- the needs, the attitude, and the way of motivation. It is like a daily battle, chiefly for a mom like me. Let’s leave the finances for the other half, but whether moms like it or not, the kids are one of our duties.

Brushing alone is a huge responsibility for everyone, and I am very strict when it comes to this chore. I make sure that the kids always brush their teeth every morning and before bedtime and every after a meal. I must admit, it is hard, super duper hard! Specially for the younger kids. I feel like I;m broken record singing to the tune of minions’ bababa.. Mag ba ba brush na kayo!!!

So I try to find some ways to make this chore fun and interesting to them. I noticed that they are more motivated to brush their teeth if fun characters are printed on their brushes. I am so glad that there are Colgate’s Minions toothbrush and Minions toothpaste.

Minions are a very fun character that every kid, and even every adult love. Once we heard about it, the kids are so excited to shop for their new toothbrushes. Every three months, we mandatory change toothbrushes for better oral hygiene. Colgate’s Minions toothbrush are especially designed for kids’ teeth. If you have kids ages 2-5 years old, check out the Colgate Minions Kids 2-5 Years Old (Junior) Oral Care Pack at Lazada.

For Sofi and Chico, it’s the Colgate Minions Kids 5-9 Years Old (Youth) Oral Care Pack, which is also available at Lazada.

Aside from these funny characters toothbrushes and toothpaste, I also check if the toothpaste is OK tasting. And Colgate Minions toothpaste is Sofi approved! I also make sure that the bristle is soft so as not to hurt their gums. Kahit ganno kaganda ang toothbrush if it hurts them, hindi nila gagamitin yan. And I could honestly say that pasado ang Colgate Minions toothbrush sa kanila.
