Finally went out of my cave to attend ‪#‎51TalkTeacherStory‬ awarding ceremony and the launch of 51Talk’s newest ambassador.

Out of 250 entries from all over the Philippines, 3 winners were chosen.

3rd place winner is a persevering Architecture student and a passionate teacher through 51Talk, Teacher Amorlove from Cebu. Being a student hereself, she knows and understands her students’ passion for learning. It serves as her inspiration in her teaching session.

A single mother and an online English educator, Teacher Lilydale, comes in 2nd place. Teaching English online not only gave her a fulfilling job, but also granted her the chance to always be present for her son and take care of him.

Winning the contest at 1st place is Teacher Moyee, who helped her student overcome his nervousness. She started talking to him about his interests and other topics that he’s comfortable with to ease him into conversing in English. After a month of lessons and newfound confidence, her student moved to Australia to pursue a master’s degree.

After the awarding, 51Talk welcomes Michele Gumabao back as 51Talk ambassador.

As the 51Talk Ambassador in the Philippines, multi- awarded power spiker Michelle Gumabao continues to inspire confidence and determination among the Filipino youth.

When she joined 51Talk, Michelle also conducted an online English class to different learners. Through her stints in online English she understands that what motivates any Filipino e- Educators today is witnessing the eagerness and determination of the students to learn.

How to be a Home-Based Online English Teacher at 51Talk?

51Talk Job Requirements:

Excellent command of the English language
Available to teach minimum of 5 days a week from 7 pm- 11 pm (most students are online at this time)
Computer proficiency is expected

How much I can earn from 51Talk?

One can earn as much as 35,000 Pesos monthly at 51Talk and there’s a guaranteed payout of 2000 PhP for newcomers as long as they will open 50 slots (25 hours) per cut off and 4000 PhP if 80 slots (40 hours) per cut off. Cut off is every 15 days.
