Proper maintenance and care can help your dryer experience a longer life span. Since this appliance isn’t exactly the least expensive appliance in your home, it is imperative that you do what you can to extend the longevity of the unit. Luckily, some of the simpler methods of maintaining your Electrolux dryer can be done without extensive knowledge of appliance repair. While some aspects of the dryer may require a more experienced professional, common components can be maintained in order to prevent damage from developing in the first place.

Although the purpose of the dryer is to maintain a specific temperature in order to dry your clothes, it is possible to overheat the unit. Usually, this is caused by lint and debris becoming trapped within the dryer itself or ventilation systems that are otherwise compromised. This can cause everything from the inability to dry the wet clothing to actual heat damage within the dryer itself. Using a vacuum to remove lint and debris can help reduce the chance of failure. Installing a proper ventilation system can help the appliance by giving it a proper method of exhaust.

Sometimes damage can be caused to the power cord of the unit from various nearby components. This can be true in regards to any device that is plugged into a power socket. However, not all appliance have the capacity to easily install replacement power cords. If you’re confident in your abilities to attach a new power cord, the entire process could take you less than five minutes to conduct repairs. Perhaps you have a three-pronged dryer power outlet but have a four-pronged power cord on your dryer. Replacement with a three-pronged power cord will allow you to power the dryer without the trouble of replacing the socket itself.

If your dryer utilizes gas in order to create the heat, a replacement for the connector can be installed as well. However, there may be more concerns when dealing with gas than exchanging a power cord. Your gas connector should have pipe thread sealant, leak detection solutions and an automatic shut off valve in the event of an emergency.

There are many Electrolux dryer parts that you can purchase that will enhance your ownership experience. Properly keep your appliance maintained and you may continue to enjoy those experiences longer than you may realize. If you’re not 100-percent confident that you can conduct these repairs and upgrades yourself, hire a professional to complete them for you. Mommy Pehpot Nominates De Castro Elementary School for Zonrox Plus Linizkwela 2014

Last May, I was asked to nominate a public school to receive Zonrox Plus product donations for Brigada Eskwela SY 2014-2015.

Brigada Eskwela, as we all know, is a yearly event where in parents, teachers, students and private organization come together to clean and repair public schools in time for the opening of the school. Zonrox, through their program Linizkwela, has been participating in Brigada Eskwela by donating Zonrox Plus products to chosen schools.

Zonrox Plus is a another bleach variant that is extra thick and sudsy. Zonrox Plus is perfect for cleaning (and disinfecting) the house. Honestly, I haven’t tried Zonrox Plus yet but I am familiar with other Zonrox variants, specially Zonrox ColorSafe (my fave!)..will let you know how effective Zonrox Plus as soon as I got the chance to try it.

I nominated De Castro Elementary School..nearest school in our house and because I know a lot of people studying on that school. Also, I know that an elementary school will benefit more from using Zonrox Plus.

In a swab test done in participating schools, majority of the facilities cleaned with Zonrox Plus returned as 99.9% germ free.

Siguro naman, with the products donated to De Castro Elementary School (and other schools) they will be able to maintain 99.9% germ free environment.

Home vs. Field Dog Training Lessons – Which Is Best for Your Dog?

Once you realize that your dog needs more professional training than you are capable of providing, you have to decide what type of lessons will benefit them the most. The worst case scenario is that you choose the wrong type of training class and end up switching at the recommendation of the trainer. The best case scenario is that you think about the following questions to guide your decision so that you select the right type of training from the start.

1. Has your dog received any training around other dogs?
Dog training courses held outside of your home are often small group sessions. That means your dog will need to interact with other dogs in a nonthreatening manner. You will also need to control your dog well enough that they are not running away and interfering with the training of other dogs.
You can seek out one-on-one training and meet the trainer in their own facility or a public location. This eliminates interference of other dogs directly, but you cannot control other dogs walking by with their owners or running loose. If your dog has shown threatening or extremely shy behavior around other dogs in the past, you may want to start with in-home dog training.

2. How does your dog typically behave around unknown humans?
When someone rings your doorbell, how does your dog react? You can never determine how your dog will interact with a trainer or other participants in a group class, but you can get an idea of how they may act by thinking about their interactions with other people in the past.
If your dog is not ready to interact with other people, then you may want to go with in-home training. You can eventually change to other types of training courses as your dog’s skills and confidence mature.

3. Do you have specific skills that you want your dog to master?
If your dog needs to work on specific skills, you should go with one-on-one lessons. This allows the trainer to tackle those skills directly without concern for the needs of other dogs and owners. You should consult with a professional trainer to determine whether your lessons are best held at home or in the field.
Dog training is a personal matter, but some dogs do best when surrounded by other dogs. Think about your dog’s personality and past behavior to determine what is best for them.
