Let’s Watch Phantom Of The Opera

Being a musical fan, I have been dreaming of flying to London’s West End to watch my favorite musical shows. I know that it would be easy to find tickets at Ticket.com and I could look for my favorite musical play, choose a date (and price) – if only London is that near. If I could afford to live in London I would watch musicals every single day.

My top three musicals ever would be Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar. Of course I also want to want watch other shows such as Rock of Ages, Mama Mia, Chicago and even The Lion King – I would go absolutely crazy with theatre tickets! If only a visit to London was affordable…maybe I can even have a chit chat with Ramin Karimloo. Oh yes, I am a fan! I first saw him perform Enjolras in the 25th Anniversary concert of Les Miserables.

The closest I can get to watching a musical show is this coming August when Phantom of the Opera comes here. I was looking at the theatre tickets prices, and the seating position, and I know I need to shell out some money in order to get a good view, but well, it is still cheaper than flying to London.

Phantom of the Opera will run from August 26 to September 30, so at least I have more time to save up. It will probably be a long time before I can go to the West End, but a girl can dream can’t she?

Playing With Cards Is Fun

It is amazing how cards can take the boredom away. We used to have playing cards in the house and we played simple card games all the time. We especially loved a game called Pairing, which I always used to play when I was younger. Pairing is a game for being played by two to four players and each one is given an equal set of cards. Before the game starts, one will have to hide a card and in the end, the player who got the pair of the hidden card is the loser. The game is played by pairing the cards, each player takes turn in getting a card from the other player. It was really fun and towards the end it usually got really exciting.

Now me and my husband have grown up a lot and we really love playing poker. I remember that there was a time in college that we would play poker with friends every break time. Sometimes money would be involved, sometimes it was just for fun. Now that online games are getting popular I have been telling my husband we should try playing iGame poker and see what’s the difference with playing it online and offline. I think, being the more traditional one, I will be inclined to play poker offline than online (especially if you will be playing with Ben Afleck, who is a really big fan of poker haha).

I can see the attraction though, and my husband likes it. Online poker is so much quicker than the old version, and when you’re playing at a big casino you can win a lot of money. I think it is something that I might do more often, but I still love playing poker with friends just as much.

Memories of playing Bingo

My grandmother’s house was located just in front of the plaza, so every feast celebration when I stayed there the fair was just around the corner, so to speak. Every night me and my friends would visit the fair to play Bingo. The first game was free and the prizes ranged from household items to some coins. I used to be really lucky back then as I would win night after night. There was one game where the prizes I won were catsup, soy sauce and other dips. I had to go back and forth my grandmother’s house and the bingo house because I can’t carry the prizes all at the same time.

Nowadays, I seldom see people celebrating feast the way we celebrated it before. And there are no more fairs to play games such as Bingo. If anyone wants to play Bingo now, they would need to go to the nearest mall where there is a Bingo house. And you can even play it at home. I am actually amazed at the different games you can play online, Spin and Win bingo  is a great example. Actually, from the time that I played Bingo (1980′s) the rules may still be the same but there are more ways to play now, more ways to win and more patterns!

And you know, Bingo playing is a good memory to me. The excitement of waiting for your number and then shouting BINGO! Priceless! It’s very exciting to me still, and I really wish it would become more popular again, and I think I might start it up again near my house when it comes back around to the time of feast celebrations. I know all the bingo rules, I think I would be the perfect person for this. Until then though, I guess I’ll just keep playing online. That’s lots of fun too.
