So! it has been more than a month since my sister went to live with my mom.. and I have been doing everything on my own (well except washing the dishes hehe). The first week, my routine was wake up. make up.cook up..err cook, got carried away with the up LOL. I would retire at 8 PM then I would start to blog…

…

and that happens.. as soon as I sit on my “office” my mind goes blank. My body’s too tired that all I want to do is rest and watch TV! Then I realized it would be better if I “work” first before my day starts. Fresh mind is inspired mind = more content and more productive. Right? So there, schedule, that’s how I keep my sanity intact. And Undomesticated Sam can relate to that! Her article on How Moms Can Keep Their Sanity Intact provides helpful and practical tips on how a mom can survive/ cope up with 24/7 stress.

I am still not 100% used to the new schedule: wake up at 4 AM.. prepare (take a bathe and make up).. blog.. mommy chores (cook breakfast, prepare the kids..etc) starts at 5:30 AM. I mentioned before that I will be homeschooling my two younger kids.. after breakfast it’s learning time, 8 AM- 9AM, then prepare lunch.. take a nap, then tutor the school boys.. if time permits, I can check emails at 4 in the afternoon then by 6 or 7 it’s dinner time.. by 8 or 9 PM, rest time for me!

I agree with her.. home schooling is very benficial and I think it is best for pre schoolers to be homeschooled even for a year or two. Or at least make an effort to be involved on the learning process of your pre schooler. Like what Mommy Jem said on her Fun study habits at home for little children article, “It is better to start the discipline at an early age.”

Home schooling is very fulfilling on my end too.. I really hope that I can finish home schooling Chico this year so that next year, he’d be ready for Kinder 2.

If my mommy bloggers friends are busy with schedule and home schooling and fun study habits, I thought of making a blog post on how we can rainy day check list.. and how we can keep our kids safe and healthy during the rainy days. I mentioned that rainy days is also dengue season, hence we must invest on insect repellent. Coincidentally, Mommy Nicque wrote a very informative article on Preventing Dengue Fever. Her tips includes keeping your surroundings clean and avoid hanging wet clothes on the bathroom (check her post to know why).
