Unilab’s Skin Cravings

I have been wanting to make a blog post about this collection.. I first got this as a gift from Unilab for helping them spread the word about Unilab Ideas Positive. It was love at first ~~sight~~ smell. I have been planning to buy the complete set.. bu you know with so many thing happened to us and the kids, it was put off my priority list. Then came Pinay Mommies Community 2nd Grand EB, and Unilab was one of our sponsors, aside from the loot bags that they gave for each mom, Unilab also provided 5 items that were raffled off. OK, you know I am not lucky when it comes to raffle.. but being one of the top mommy blogger in PMC, I had the privilege to receive and review one of the items from Unilab.

This is what included on our bag. Skin Cravings Smooth Over Body Lotion (Strawberry Cream and Choc’ Mint Kisses) and Skin Cravings Scrub Me Pretty (Cranberry Yoghurt, Dewberry Yoghurt and Strawberry Yoghurt).

Let’s start with the Smooth Over Body Lotion collection, Strawberry Cream and Choc’ Mint Kisses. The first one that I got to try is Strawberry Cream. Given the fact that there is already a lot of lotions out in the market, there is only 2 reason why I would buy Skin Carvings over other lotion. The first one is the fact that it leaves mys kin very smooth and does not make feel greasy afterwards. The second one is, it leaves a very good and very delicious, I may add, smell on my skin. It really is yummy and the name Skin Cravings is very apt for it. My husband even commented how yummy I smell hahaha (so that’s enough reason for me to say goodbye to all the lotion I know).

Skin Cravings Smooth Over Body Lotion, Choc’ Mint Kisses smells really nice. It’s really hard fighting the temptation not to taste it haha. They did captured the smell of chocolate and mint. I tried this once and loved it for a while but the smell wears off and leaves a not so good smell on my skin. I guess chocolates are better on my stomach for me than applied on the skin. For now, I am sticking with Strawberry Cream.

Skin Cravings Scurb Me Pretty comes in 3 “flavors”, Cranberry Yoghurt, Dewberry Yoghurt and Strawberry Yoghurt. As you can see on the photo, each yoghurt, contains small beads of each flavor, the strawberry has pink-red beads, the blueberry has blue beads while cranberry has red. It also has small abrasive materials that definitely exfoliates the skin.

Currently I am using Strawberry Yoghurt and uses it 2-3 times a week. I love how it leaves my skin smelling good and very smooth. I also notices a great difference after each scrub:

See the difference? The other arm that has been scrub with Skin Cravings is smoother and fairer too (in our Lola’s term, parang bagong hilod lang!)

I still have to the other two “flavor” but basing on the smell of it, I think I’m gonna love it too.

Meralco’s Maliwanag Ang Pasko And Liwanag Park Launching

Ever since we moved here in Pasig, we are always awed by the magnificent display at the Meralco ground in Ortigas. It was only last year that we finally had the chance to visit the said display. Thanks to Meralco for I was invited to witness Meralco Maliwanag Ang Pasko Grand Lighting Ceremony last year and because of that I learned that the place is open to public.

This year, when I received an e invite for Meralco Maliwanag ang Pasko and Liwanag Park opening, I did not hesitate and said yes and I wore my PMC shirt and not my funny t-shirt. For the first time, Meralco is launching Liwanag Park, from the usual Paskuhan Village and Nativity Belen, Meralco is giving us a park where we can enjoy light show, Christmas Village, night bazaar, electric rides and a lot more.

The Liwanag Park however is only a part of the yearly tradition of Meralco’s Maliwanag ang Pasko. Since 2006, this event has been Meralco’s channel in providing support to various support and encourages their costumers to take part by lighting their homes.

Meralco Chief Corporate Social Responsibility Officer and President of One Meralco Foundation Jeffrey Tarayao said, ” In line with this year’s theme of love and light, Meralco, through One Meralco Foundation will be able to support at least 1,000 children to go to school in the coming year. The public, in turn can express their support with Meralco in its desire t not only light up the season, but also help these children attain a better future.”

So how do we take part of this noble cause? How to join Meralco’s Maliwanag Ang Pasko:

Decorate your house with Christmas lights and take its photo. Each photo should be no bigger than 1MB.
E-mail the photo to maliwanagangpasko@meralco.com.ph and indicate the following in your e-mail:
