Richwell Warehouse Sale 2010

Since 2006, when we learned about Richwell Warehouse Sale, we never missed a year. During our first year shopping at Richwell, we scored Hot Wheels, 3 pices for the price of one (or almost, 3 pieces for 120 Pesos) and some Fisher Price or Chicco shoes half its original price.

Year 2007, I bought a lot of Mega blocks, yep, almost half of our Mega Blocks collections comes from the warehouse sale. And again, got some shoes half its original price. 2008 and it’s all about Chico’s toy, not the brand Chicco but our baby Chilet. We bought a lot of baby toys for 100 pesos each, even got one for 50 Pesos only. Of course, Mega Blocks are always top on our list. And finally bought them their first Hot Wheels track for less than 1000.

Last year, it’s all about infant toys for Sati. We bought some toys for her cribs and shocked to see that Chico’s Mega Blocks car was being sold almost 50% off its original price (waaaah). And again, I splurge on Mega Blocks and some shoes. Oh we almost bought a slides set. ahahaha

This year, I am still going to buy Mega Blocks, but this time the smaller one. They no longer plays with the maxi blocks (hmm sino kaya magmamana nun). And will try to find some toys Sati will like. And if by luck there’s a playground set for a very reasonable price, we might buy it (save for our future house.. wehehe)

Here is the schedule for Richwell Sale 2010:

November 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27, 28
December 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22

Richwell Warehouse Sale 2010 is open from 9 am to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays and 1 PM- 6PM on Fridays and weekdays.

Breastfeeding and Pumping

Breastfeeding and Pumping, these are two things that does not work well with me. I cannot pump well. Or maybe the pumping device I used was a cheap one (hehe). I have high regards to working mothers who still breastfeed their babies (shout out to Nicquee!). I tried pumping before and it really takes a lot of effort and not to mention frustrations. I tried it with my first born. We were to shop some Christmas presents and he was barely 2 months then. I tried pumping and the most I got was 1 ounce of milk. I’m luckier with my second born, milk supply was better then. As with my third born, he’s lucky, I never leave him even if we look for a case of my ipod nano, he’s with us (thank goodness for slings!). Now with Sati, there are times that my milk supply are good but there are times when it’s not. So during her first 6 months, she’s my plus one in every events I attend (err plus 2 for the helper).

As I read about Breastfeeding and Pumping, I learned that the key to success is still the mom’s willingness to feed the baby with her milk. It’s not easy as most books will say but if the mother is determined to do it, nothing can stop them. And of course, proper knowledge can really help in making it a success. Just before you give birth, research about pumping devices. This will be your partner in this business. There are two types of pumps, manual and electric. Obviously, electric pump is way better than manual pumps but it is more expensive too. Look for a pump that won’t break your budget but can be a good one for you. Also, ask around, you might be surprised that there are moms who are willing to sell their pumps.

When to start pumping breast milk?

Start pumping week ahead of your maternity leave. Let your breast get used to it. Save the milk and freeze it. This will save you in the future as you’ll never know how much stress going back to work (while breastfeeding will bring you or its effect on your milk supply). From time to time, let the baby feed on the bottle with your milk. Let the baby get used to feeding bottles.

Getting back to work while Breastfeeding and Pumping

There are breastfeeding products available that lets you pump hands free. isn’t that amazing? Breastfeeding blouses are also everywhere to make it more discreet for you. And if it’s up on your alley, rally some of the moms in your office and ask for a breastfeeding section.

Tip:
To make it easy for you, drink a lot of liquids that can increase your supply, in my case, it’s Orange juice with pulp and choco drink 🙂

Disney Vacation Villas

If you are planning a family vacation, you often encounter the word villa and cottage when you look for a place to stay. Villa is term used for vacation rental property. Like if you want to stay in Greece, villas in Greece are the one you should look for. Vacation rentals like villas and apartments are the ideal place to stay when you are in Greece, they are placed strategically where the tourist can max out their vacation. Just the same in villas in Cyprus, an experience that one can never forget. And if by chance me and husband take a vacation, Greece will be on our list.

When it comes to vacation with kids, Disney Vacation Villas are on top consideration. Not only the family will have a place to stay but also they will enjoy the attractions Disney world has to offer. They have different Disney Villas in different locations and different themes. If the kids are into animals, why not take a Disney Vacation Villas in Disney’s Animal Kingdom lodge. This is an African style/ inspired lodge. The architecture of the lodge is similar to African Architecture too. This lodge is very ideal to families who loves the jungle.

For a family who loves water, Disney’s Beach Club Villas are on top of water related activities. Thisnk about white sand shores, water, waterfalls, lake. And the kids can have fun with many activities only for the kids. They can enjoy making sand castles and the parents of course can enjoy the night without having to worry for their kids.

Although Disney Vacation Villas sounds exciting, if you ask me, I still prefer having our vacation first here in the country. I haven’t been to the best places here and before I start exploring the world, I want my kids to learn the rich culture of the Philippines. The 7000 plus islands of the country are waiting for us.
