Blogging Today: SUPER ONE

Host: It has been a while and I think this is becoming her hobby to give me job only when she needs me (oh that actually sounds logical hehe).

Anyhoo guys, welcome again to another exciting and entertaining episode of the hottest talk show in Blogniverse, BLOGGING TODAY!

We’re going to talk about SUPER ONE today and to share with us her super one, let me call.. who else, but Pehpot (applause! applause!)

Pehpot: Thanks Host, thanks for doing this for me. This episode is rather special to me as we are going to talk who my Super One is.. Do you have no idea who it is?

Host: I can think a lot of names but first, I want to know, how do you define super one? How can you say that, THAT someone is your Super One?

Pehpot: When you look the word SUPER in the dictionary, you will see that it is usually defined as being excellent or first rate. So when you say Super One, I think it means the one that you regard as excellent. But for me, Super One means the one who has been with me all the time. The one I turn to when I needed someone to talk to. The very first erson I text or call when I am lonely, sad, happy or worried.

Host: And with that definition, may we know now, who your Super One is?

Pehpot: Who else but my mom.. she was the first person I call whenever I am sad. And she never fails to make me happy and feel good. My mom is my SUPER ONE.

She is also the only person that we can trust our kids. Last Friday, hubby and me was out on a date, but before that, I already called my mom and asked her o be with my kids (yes, despite having two helpers) while we watch a movie. She traveled 4 hours just to be with us and took care of my kids. And though she needed to go home immediately, she stayed until today just to make sure that I am feeling OK (I was rushed to ER last Saturday). That is how super she is.

Host: You are really lucky to have a mom like that..

Pehpot: Oh yes I am, in fact she is the SUPER ONE that have seen my family grow, from my very first child to my youngest she was there. And if I remembered it right, all the first photos of my kids are with her..

That is a photo of her and Chico.. I can’t find her photos with my two older boys.. it’s not digital yet.. haha.. and of course the one below is a pic of her and her princess, Sati.. what a proud Lola.. may I add..

Host: Oh, I can see how proud she is to her only granddaughter.

Pehpot: SUPER! She love her to bits.. and not only that.. all of our travel, outings, getaways, she was with us. SHe is our SUPER ONE tourist guide.. LOL.. specially on Northern Luzon haha..

Pehpot: And this is my favorite photo of my SUPER ONE with my kids.. from this alone, I know she will be the SUPER one who will help me raise my kids and nurture my family.

My mom is my SUPER ONE because she is always there, loving me unconditionally and extending that love to my kids, my husband and even people she had never met but has been very special to me. She is my SUPER ONE because she is the one person I call and text, whatever it is, wherever it is, day, night and even at 2 in the morning. My mother is my SUPER ONE because she answers.. yes even at 2 AM.

Host: Oh indeed, your mom is the SUPER ONE.

Thanks much for sharing it with us.. this is a very inspiring one, makes me think of my mother and thank her for all the things she has done to me.. I think if I am asked, who my super mom is.. it would also be my mom..

So guys, we heard it right from our blogger mom Pehpot.. It has been fun hosting this episode and I do hope you also enjoy our topic here at the hottest talk show in Blogniverse…

Weekends

Weekends was spent with my mom. She was here since Friday. Though she complained on city air and always remind me to buy respironics oxygen concentrator, she stayed here until this morning. Supposedly she would only stay here until Saturday so me and hubby can watch Salt. But I was in pain and had to got to the hospital on Saturday morning. She stayed until today to make sure I am OK.

As for the Salt, in a way I am glad I did not watched it with my girlfriends, for sure we’ll just be LOLing on the cinema and we won’t be concentrating on the film.

Breastfeeding Month

August is breastfeeding month. And if you must know, I support breastfeeding and I advocate it. There is so much benefits breastfeeding can give. Imagine being able to feed your baby even if you’re only on your lingerie. If you are on bottle feeding, you need to wear your robe, your shirt before even standing up to prepare a formula for the baby. That’s actually the most convenient benefit of breastfeeding. No need to get up in the middle of the night to feed the baby. All you have to do is open your shirt or clothes and the baby will know where it is.

Of course in terms of health, breastfeeding has a lot of benefits. I can attest to that as all my kids are breastfed. I breastfed them exclusively for a year. And during that time and until now, they seldom got sick (except when they were infected with Primary Complex). And though they are always on the slimmer side, they are healthy and they are very active kids.

Then there’s the financial benefits of it. Imagine not buying baby formula for a whole year? You can save a lot! And also, when you breastfeed a baby, they seldom wet their diapers, so that’s another one. You won’t have to change their diapers often.

Emotionally, in my own opinion and in my experience, I feel bliss whenever I breastfeed my baby. There is so much contentment on it. Imagine being able to give life and being able to nourish that life, that is just too much. I am talking here on the emotional benefit on me.

Breastfeeding is not easy. I have been there and it was really hard. You need to be focused on your goal. You need to exert effort. You need to know that if you choose to breastfeed you have to work hard. Not all woman are lucky enough to express milk right after their baby’s are delivered. Like me, I worked two weeks before any milk comes out of my breast. It was painful but I am determined to breastfeed my baby. All my efforts were all worth it.

I don’t criticize moms who did not breastfeed their baby but to me, it’s the most natural thing to do, so why not feed your baby.

I hope in the future, I will be able to help new moms on how to breastfeed and how not to give up on it.
