My Hair And Make Up Artist From Cainta Rizal

The only reason why I’ve been delaying my blog make over was the fact that I don’t have a decent photo to put on my profile picture. Puro home made photos! I need a decent camera + a decent look (if that’s even possible! hahaha). Problem solved when the husband gave me a Canon EOS M3. Now for that decent look! I don’t even have to look farfar away for the best make up artist in Pasig or best Hair And Make Up Artist From Cainta Rizal

I remember asking about her rates a few months ago eh. And I find her make up packages very affordable. Sooo finally, a blog make over and a look make over is coming! For the picture taking.. sariling kayod na lang! Joke lang! My make up artist did a very good job on that too! O di ba make up artist na, photographer pa!

Say Hello To My Hair and Make Up Artist from Cainta

Cainta hair and makeup artist

Sai is soooo easy to work with and very professional! I was hesitant at first to book her and invite her over my house. Simply because I can’t think of the best place to hold the make up session. Teka kulang ang ilaw sa bahay! Meralco, pakidala ang spot light! (Kung pwede lang di ba). Naku all my worries naman pala eh nonsense. Look at how professional her set up is (bitbit nya lahat yan papunta dito sa bundok ko):

When you’re pregnant, sitting for a very long period of time is not easy di ba? Pero naku the whole time Sai is working my decent look, I never felt that kind ofuneasiness. Daming kwento eh!

She even shared with me some basic tips on skin care (specially for busy stay at home moms), basic make up tips (lalo na ang kilaaaayan portion!) and some make up essentials that moms should have!

Skin care tips for mommies: There’s no better skincare advice I could give to my fellow moms that CTM (Cleanse. Tone. Moisturize). Sleep is also a great factor. Get enough sleep every day and to be well-hydrated at all times.

The eyebrow tip! Don’t overdo it. For beginners, I usually recommend to follow your natural eyebrow shape. It never fails! Use an eyebrow product that’s 1 to 2 shades lighter than your actual hair color.

And if you’re looking for the best lipstick shade, here’s what Sai have to say: You can never go wrong with a red lipstick. It’s classic and very versatile. You can wear it at work, when doing your groceries or during a date night with your husband.

For Make Up Essentials, Sai said it really depends on you. But these are the few things that should always be in your kikay kit:

  • Your favorite foundation, BB or CC cream
  • pressed powder
  • lipstick
  • mascara
  • 3 basic powder shadow colors (satin white, brown, black)

Kaya yata hindi ako mukhang disente, kulang ako sa make up essential LOL

These are some of my favorites during our instant”photoshoot”

And of course, the one on my About Me Widget:

Need a Hair And Make Up Artist From Cainta (or anywhere from Manila)? Book Sai!

Email: makeupbysaimontes@gmail.com :: Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/makeupbysai (check out her Prom Night promo!)

Sai Montes is also a blogger like me. She usually blogs about fashion, retail and, recently, her life as a mom and an entrepreneur. She’s been in the make up industry for 6 years and decided to do make artistry full time in 2012. Being a hair and make up artist is a lot of fun according to Sai because she gets to work at her own pace, at her own time and still be the greatest mom she could be for her son.

What do you think about my new look? Bagay naman sa blog’s new look ko di ba?!? Dear blogger friends, book Sai na din!

Safeguard Derma Sense Face and Body Wash Review

When I tried the Pantene 3 Minute Miracle, I saw the results immediately (Related Post: Pantene 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner Review). When I received a Safeguard Derma Sense Face and Body Wash sample, I was hesitant to try it. For one, my OCD won’t let me interrupt my Korean skin care routine (related post: 10 Things You Need To Know About The 10 Steps Korean Skincare Routine). Another thing, takot ako sa dry skin! I am just afraid that it will dry up my skin to the point of breaking ala lupa sa bukirin na sampung taong walang irigasyon. Lastly, it will take some time before I can come up with a truthful review. TIME. big word.

So what made me try it finally? Ang kulit ni Sati eh! Ang dami ko daw red dots! >> ma issue ang bata!

Safeguard Derma Sense promises to:

  • help provide noticeable acne reduction
  • helps remove acne causing germs and excess oil

I have been using it for more than two weeks already and though my face is still not acne free, I noticed that when an acne appears it dries out easily. I also noticed that acne appearance is lesser. Unlike before, when it usually appears in 3, ngayon solo kayod na lang siya!

Photo timeline: one week. left is before, right is after

Dryness test. It can be drying.. but not the kind of dryness I am expecting. Most facial wash would dry up a 30ish face naman so it didn’t bothered me at all. I suggest that you use a moisturizer after using it. As for me, I just replaced my wash with Safeguard Derma Sense from my routine. I will continue to use it as long as I can see that my acne’s becoming lesser (and smaller) as the day goes by.

Here’s what I do not like about Safeguard Derma Sense, the consistency of the wash is too watery. I always end up with soap on my mouth (eh ang panget ng lasa). The smell is strong too. If it is for body only, the smell is OK but for the face where the nose is, aah it can be overwhelming. I wish they have a facial wash version of Safeguard Derma Sense, since  it usually has thicker consistency.

Ay Wait! While checking Safeguard Philippines Facebook Page, meron na palang facial wash:

Naguluhan ako bigla sa bagong kaalaman.. nawala lahat ng nasa isip kong dapat kong isulat.. inhale.. exhale.. inhale..exhale..

Ay wala na talaga! Ayaw na nila bumalik!

To end this review, ang tanong, Do I recommend Safeguard Derma Sense Face and Body Wash? YES! Use it on your back or chest where acne also appears but for the face, I suggest let’s give the Safeguard Derma Sense Facial Cleanser a try.

Have you tried this product? Tell us your experience with it!

The Cream Factory SCRUB-in-a-TUB

My usual self is happy, on the go and full of ideas.. my other self (the one suffering from OCD) gets depressed for no reason at all.. that’s one of the “perks” of having an OCD. I never let that side of me overpower my happy disposition in my life and when it starts to show signs of attack I end with a me time.

ME TIME means a long bath with hot oil and scrub + mani ( I do my own) and make up. That’s how I soothe my OCD 🙂 And this is my current scrub obsession:

I got to try The Cream Factory Bath Cream from last year’s Glamourbox Secret Santa box. After trying it out, I noticed that the smell actually lingers on the skin, also I noticed that my skin is less dry with it. So when I was asked to try out The Cream Factory SCRUB-in-a-TUB, I said yes.

I am not your usual beauty geek, I did not even noticed if the scrub is doing good on my skin (the fact that The Cream Factory Bath Cream made my skin less dry was a realization after I was asked if I noticed how less I put lotion after trying the cream> I only apply lotion on my skin when it becomes flaky> bad girl!) What I like about the scrub is it smells fresh (not overpowering) and I feel very clean after using it. My mom, on the other hand, said she noticed that some of her dark spots lightened (she’s a better reviewer than me! hahaha she’s using an anti wrinkle product and she can make a good review out of it..maybe, it’s about time to have her as my guest reviewer in this blog no?)

I also like the fact that it is in a tub and the tub opens up easily (unlike the bath cream, packaged in a bottle, kinda hard to dispense).

And the tub I got for free is empty! Time to buy another tub 🙂

The Cream Factory SCRUB-in-a-TUB comes in 6 variants and grouped in 3, salty, creamy and yummy. The one I got is Goat’s Milk & Witch Hazel with salt as base. I love salt based scrub (feel na feel ko ang scrubbing haha), I can’t wait to try the Goat’s Milk & Seaweed.

I will also buy a tub for Sati.. yes, she’s too young for body scrubs, but since her legs are super flaky, she needs some scrubbing to exfoliate the skin (too much dead cells). I think the best variant for her is the creamy ones, the mildest and most gentle among the three. Now, I am quite torn which one to get, Jojoba or Honey?

The last among the three is the yummy, when I was asked to choose which ones I like the most, cinnamon takes the cake. I LOVE ANYTHING CINNAMON! (kaso walang stock that time, so I end up with Witch Hazel) Siguro before the Witch Hazel, I’ll try the Cinnamon first.. and with cocoa bean bits, I can now skip dessert, sa skin ko na lang muna haha

Buti na lang may date kame ni Sam later sa Robinsons Galleria..makakabili ng bagong tub 🙂 yes, it is available in Robinsons Galleria Supermarket 🙂
