If it's about me, it's in here.

Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Probably a lot of you doesn’t know that I am a lola’s girl. It has been my dream to give back or serve my lola kahit sa maliit na paraan lang. Last year, husband made that dream came true. Medyo (medyo pa lang eh since we’re still sorting things out) kasama na sya sa finances namin. Hopefully this year, it’ll be a monthly basis na. Ang saya ko lang pag nangyari yun! If husband’s lola is still living, I’m sure he’ll do the same.

It’s also my dream to spend days with my lola and before the year ends, it came true! I’m one happy lola’s girl!! My lola spent the New Year here in my house!!! At pinagluto pa ako ng napakasarap nyang Adobong Pusit and Pork Estofado.

Obligatory Family Picture for New Year haha

The New Year celebration alone is enough for me to say had the best year ever!

Peroooooo there are sooo many things that happened to us last 2015 that made it #thebestyearever (sa kabila ng mga emosyonal na pangyayari sa buhay namin, 2015 was still a great year for us). These are some of the highlights of the year that was:

Family travels during the first half of 2015..

New baby and a new house for us on the 2nd half!

And for me, new toy + a blog makeover!

That is why during our Media Noche, I made sure to have a basket of 13 fruits. Sabi nila pang pa swerte daw yan but I didn’t put that basket for 2016. It was more like a gratitude basket for the year that was. Sobrang thankful ako for my 2015 and I’m positive 2016 will be another great year for me and my family, and yours too!

Happy 2016!!

Shakey’s If It’s Late, It’s FREE Policy

Shakey’s If It’s Late, It’s FREE Policy

In my attempt to give my 2nd born classmates a delightful treat, I ordered pizza from our favorite pizza restaurant, Shakey’s. Attempt FAILED. The pizza was 10 minutes late and not to mention COLD. He was actually late by 20 minutes but he insist that he had a hard time looking for our house so I asked him what time he arrived on our subdivision gate.. he arrived 10 minutes ago daw.. eh di late pa din sya! Helllloooo

It would have been different if I didn’t know that the branch was less than 3 kilometers from us (30 minutes walking and 10 minutes by car). It would have been easier to take if the driver just said sorry and not use “traffic kase” reasoning. TRAFFIC?!? At noontime? But wait! Even if it is really traffic, he’s using a motorcycle.. it would have been more acceptable if the weather is bad but it was sunny! And the pizza was COLD. UNFORGIVEABLE!

And as much as I don’t want to stress myself over a cold pizza, nakakahiya sa bisita ko! Too bad the “if it’s late it’s free” policy is not applicable that time. I already paid it thru paypal. I still called their hotline and asked for a refund. I wouldn’t mind if it is 30 minutes late as long as my pizza is still hot.. but COLD pizza is unacceptable.

The calls didn’t took that long and after 7 working days, the payment was refunded in my paypal account. I am really glad that Shakey’s is very prompt in following their if it’s late, it’s FREE policy.

Have you tried asking for a refund when your delivery is late? Or are you usually forgivable when it comes to late deliveries?

Mercury Drug Suki Notebook 2016

This is one notebook you shouldn’t miss this year! The Mercury Suki notebook 2016. It’s very simple and the cover is like the Starbucks 2015 planner.. feel ko ung mga ganung cover, parang felt paper lang.

You can get the Suki Notebook for 30 suki points. That’s 6000 Pesos worth of medicine since every 200 pesos is equal to 1 suki points. You can also get it for 200 Pesos.

The Suki notebook comes in 3 colors (gray, sandstone and scarlet). The notebook also comes in 3 packaging:

  • Suki notebook only for 30 suki points
  • Suki notebook + 2 Mercury Drug coin purse + 1 Mercury Drug ballpen for 35 suki points
  • Suki notebook and Enrich magazine (please check Mercury Drug for this one)

Perooo 30 points is not that easy to earn di ba! Yung binili kong gamot kahapon, naka 10 points lang ako! Mukhang marami- rami pang vitamins ang kailangan namin inumin to have a suki notebook!

Mabuti na lang, I was informed na meron pa lang Suki Extra Points promo. Sukis can earn up to 100 points for just purchasing one product. 100 Points is equal to 20,000 Pesos di ba?!?

This month, one of the participating products is Vicks Vaporub. For every purchase of Vicks (any size), suki earns 10 points. The smallest Vicks  is only 25 Pesos. Imagine, I was able to get a suki notebook for only 75 Pesos! Sobrang saya ko talaga! 75 Pesos for a quality notebook plus 3 pcs Vicks Vaporub! Eh di ba, I use Vicks talaga.

If I were you, kukuha ako ng Suki notebooks in all colors!
