Here are some of the tasks that we did:

We were asked to finish at least 10 tasks from the 13 tasks given.. and though I finished 10 tasks, my racing skill is not enough to win the 5 Stella Luna pairs that was given to the first two bloggers that finished the tasks. But it was really fun running around looking for stores and taking photos. And for sure, you will enjoy it as much as I did (or ever more haha)

Play the Fashion Game Like the Celebrities Do

Being a celebrity has a lot of great advantages. You get to wear the newest and most exclusive designs while attending red carpet and other high-end events. Without a doubt, being a celebrity has a lot of fashion advantages. However, any woman can take note of fashion savvy strategies, so that they, too, can also look like stars for special occasions.

Although it may not be the Oscars or a fashion show, every person has events they have to attend and look good at. It does not matter if you are attending a wedding or you’re going to an important business party, it is always important to dress well. No celebrity owns each piece of jewelry or every dress that they have worn at an event. Designers give them dresses and jewelry to wear, and later return. Although the average woman will never experience this in their life, it does not mean they can’t take advantage of the same styling strategy.

Making Designer Labels Accessible to Every Woman

Like most women, you envy celebrities for their accessibility to the best labels and the newest designs. If you dream of wearing a Vera Wang or a Diane Von Furstenberg dress to a special occasion, all you have to do is rent a designer dress and your wish will come true. Fashion trends change every season, so it is not be a wise investment to purchase a designer label dress that will go out of style in six months. Designer rentals cost only a fraction of the price of a dress’ actual cost. Renting pieces allows the every-day woman to wear designer and be on trend, for the price they would likely spend on a trendy lower end dress.

Always Be on Trend

There is no argument about the importance of quality in apparel. With designer pieces, you are not only paying high prices for the label, but also the quality guarantee that the label endorses. Fast fashion retailers make pieces that emulate the styles seen worn by celebrities on runways and red carpets. Although this makes trendy clothing easily accessible to the public, the quality of the pieces are inevitably lacking. As a result, even though the styles are affordable, it makes the appearance of a new dress deteriorate each time you wear it. In fashion, you get what you pay for. If having a high-quality piece of clothing is important to you, but you cannot afford the prices of designer dresses, start renting dresses for special occasions.

Although renting designer dresses is still a fairly new phenomenon, it is something more wannabe fashionistas should get on board with. It will allow you the opportunity to wear the best dress designer labels and newest fashion trends, without having to go beyond of your spending budget. You should be investing in quality pieces of clothing that you will wear often and with a variety of outfits, not on a dress you can only wear once or twice. Act and feel like a celebrity by renting the dresses of your dreams to wear at special events.

Wattah Wattah Festival Experience

This is my first time to experience the Basaan Fiesta, right in the heart of the city that celebrates it the most, San Juan!

I am expecting this event to be fun filled! Sa invitation pa lang, na excite na ako.. and honestly, I can’t even sleep the day before the event.. parang bata lang na first time mag field trip!

Indeed, the event turned out to be super fun!

So what’s new with year’s Basaan Fiesta at San Juan known as Wattah Wattah Festival*?

It was made more fun with the inclusion of a huge dry at the Plaza Mayor along N. Domingo Street. Not only that, as the Downy truck passes by, it leaves a smelling fresh scent to San Juan residents. A bubble machine with Downy on it treats the residents as well as mist from Downy.

As for me and my blogger friend Mauie, together with PR that invited us, we rode the Downy truck armed wearing hydro-chromatic shirts (and a super fashion white boots!). The first of its kind in the Philippines, the Downy hydro-chromatic shirts bore hidden messages that could only be seen when the shirt is wet. Nagpamigay din ng downy ng shirts while the parade is on.. super saya!

After the parade, we went straight to Plaza Mayor were we experienced the huge dryer. There were games for media as well as for the residents of the city.

In partnership with P&G Downy, the dryer highlighted Downy’s quick-dry formula that helps dry clothes faster.  Fresh towels were handed out afterwards to allow guests to experience the fragrance and softness benefits of Downy Sunrise Fresh.

Downy Brand Manager Nicole Villarojo said the San Juan Fiesta was an ideal opportunity to spotlight the advantages of using Downy Sunrise Fresh, especially since the celebration occurs at the start of the rainy season in the Philippines.  “During the rainy season, your clothes take longer to dry because of the lack of sunlight. The prolonged wetness causes a “damp, musty” odor to settle on the clothes. With Downy Sunrise Fresh, your clothes dry faster even during rainy days. Downy Sunrise Fresh has a quick-dry formula that helps dry your clothes faster, keeping them smelling fresh even as you dry them indoors,” she said.

It was really fun.. first timer ba naman eh.. tuwing may maghahagis ng tubig, napapasigaw kame sa truck.. at etong Made to Order eto’ng Manok eh sinabuyan pa kame ng malamig na tubig! hahahaha

Thank you Mauie (The 24 Hour Mommy) for the photos and for the laughter and for the intensity sharing hahaha

*The San Juan Fiesta is an annual festival celebrated in honor of St. John the Baptist to commemorate how St. John prepared mankind for the coming of Christ by baptizing them with water.  Residents douse themselves and their friends with water and participate in different basaan games, while bystanders and commuters become targets of residents lining the streets with water guns and hoses.
